First, the wand/brush is awkward for my hooded eyes. Not only was I unable to apply the product without getting it on my lids, I found it difficult to maneuver the wand to the base of my lashes to give them the lift I was seeking. Second, this product does not stay put for me, even with setting powder. Within 3-4 hours it migrated to below my eyes and was difficult to remove without removing my foundation and concealer, too. Lastly, this mascara gave me a headache every time I used it. My eyes are very sensitive to eye shadows and mascaras. I thought that “Clean Beauty” meant I would not have a reaction to it; however, I noticed that within an hour of applying it, I started getting a headache.

Could be better but not awful

Definitely is lengthening and provides good volume. It does smudge which I don’t love. I’m trying to find the perfect clean mascara. This is getting closer but is not perfect.

I would not buy

I used to use Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes for forever. It was my HG but they changed the formula which changed its performance. So I'd been shopping around and was using this mascara for a while before realizing it was responsible for ruining my lashes. It says it's not waterproof but it's a struggle bus to get it off, even with makeup removing liquids and balms. It made me lose eyelashes and prevented them from growing back. Once I switched to another mascara, Diorshow, my lashes grew back, and stopped shedding. Just my own experience but I would not recommend this.

Disappointing!

I want to preface that I bought this because of the great reviews! This is the worst mascara I’ve tried. It’s a very odd formula- super wet but also very dry at the same time. Very strange wand. Difficult to use without getting mascara everywhere. I have long eyelashes and it made them spidery, clumpy, and hard. The worst raccoon eyes I’ve ever had. Not even an hour after applying, raccoon eyes. I had to keep wiping it off my bottom eyelid throughout the day. Definitely overrated and just a really bad product.

Raccoon eyes guaranteed. Loved the wand but not The formula. Easy to take off because it is all Under the eyes. Even with setting Powder would not recommend or ever Purchase again.

So disappointed in the new changes!!

This was my tried and true mascara since it launched, but my most recent repurchase left me so disappointed and confused. Yes the packaging is new, but the bristles alto feel different and the formula is much dryer. Doesn't matter how much product you try to get on the brush it just ends up feeling dry and end up with much less volume than it used to give. It pefect: clean ingredients, excellent volume and wear, lightweight, no smudging or flaking. Why change something that was perfect?? Now I have to hunt for a replacement...

This mascara works great. It made my lashes very full and nicely separated my lashes. The want to apply it is easy to use too. I received this product for free.

Not what it used to be!

I have been using ILIA for years now I’d liked enough to just pick it from the shelf and buy it without looking at others. But, the new design took me off guard! The brush is different. Feels very plastic and hard brushing through my eyelashes and it didn’t give half the volume it used to and I never do double triple coating but with this new one I did and still didn’t work. Also no metter how much I wiggled tge brush to get more product it didn’t work and felt empty and dry. Very upset with the change.

Great volume, bad racoon eyes

This product does give an amazing long, full lashes, and I love it in the morning. There are zero issues with contacts which is also a plus. The only issue I have is that within a few hours, without fail, and regardless of any other product I use, this smudges and I get a racoon eye effect which ruins it all for me. This is not a waterproofing issue, just its formulation. I received this If this was solved, this would be a fav mascara.

It was okay and easy enough to apply, but I found it to be pretty smudgy.
