Gifted by The Ordinary.This Retinol 1% in Squalane from The Ordinary is one of the most effective, yet gentle retinols I’ve used. Unlike others, it doesn’t dry my skin out or make me purge for weeks. This stuff is amazing!!

Different use

This product is working great on my legs below my knees applying first, them my moisturizing cream after. You need time to let both to be absorbed by the skin when applied. My skin is dry, no elasticity, easy to scratch, cut or tear. 1.5 bottles have been used since July 20, 2024. The skin elasticity has returned I noticed, no dry look, when I banged my leg, no scar or scratch happend. I still have dark pigmentation. i'm hoping it clears it up in time. Skin does not have the dry scalely look I've tried many creams on my legs. Next is a steriod cream my doctor reconmend for dry skin, but doesn't solve my problem. Too sensitive skin in contacting things. It would be nice when it comes in a larger bottle & stronger solution.

Great addition to my routine

I am highly impressed with the ordinaries retinol 1% in squalene. This is an oil-based formula so it is important When you use this in your skincare routine. I used it after my moisturizer once which was a cream-based and I guess it did not mix well. So I did get some pilling and a not so pleasant texture to where I had to wash my face off. However, the formula and product itself is actually amazing! Makes my skin silky smooth and I have seen improvements in my skin's texture, evenness and overall appearance. It's very gentle on my skin even for everyday use

Great Retinol

This was gifted by The Ordinary. I liked the price point on this product compared to other retinols. I also liked that this was non-irritating for me to use and was not that harsh on my skin. Easy to use at night.

My new favorite retinol

This product was gifted by The Ordinary. I have been using this product for a couple weeks. I have been using retinol for years so I am able to use this nightly. Having the squalane in this product helps add moisture to an ingredient that can cause dryness when you first start using it. I will continue using this product.

This was the first product that I have tried from this brand, #1 Retinol 1% in Squalane serum; This is a skincare product that targets wrinkles, and fine lines. I used this serum, after cleansing in the evening because of the Retinol. I used this with caution. It caused drying, and redness overall. This is not for my Sensitive skin type.
