I have recently (in about the last year or so) gotten really into cleansing balms as a staple in my PM skincare routine. I will usually have this be step one of a double cleanse to get any makeup, dirt/oil off my face before toning it and applying serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. I’ve also been loving putting the cleansing balm on almost as a mask before getting in the shower and really letting it melt into my pores for a deeper clean. This Sephora cleansing balm definitely met the standard for a deep clean that left my skin refreshed yet moisturized and did not leave my skin feeling tight or stripped! I love how gentle it feels and the lack of irritation or other side effects while still providing a really thorough cleaning. I do feel like I need to ensure to scrub the areas around my eyes really well to get any mascara off. As a makeup, skincare, and overall beauty enthusiast, I love testing out new products and I can definitely see this Sephora cleansing balm being in my rotation for the reasonable value and price point!

Great value for money

This Sephora Clean Skin Cleansing Balm has a pleasant, light scent. The balm applies easily and makeup melted off the skin. I’d prefer if it had a small spoon or applicator so I didn’t have to put my fingers directly into the pot. I found the balm to be quite greasy on application, but it meant that I could massage the skin easily to cover my whole face to remove all makeup. I washed the balm off with warm water and most of the makeup came off with rinsing. My mascara didn’t come off as easily and I had to use cotton pads to remove the last of the mascara. After washing my face with warm water my skin felt soft, but quite greasy, so I then washed with my regular cleansing gel. This definitely removed most of my makeup, apart from mascara. I feel this is really good value for money as it is effective an This product was provided for promotional purposes in exchange for my honest review.

It works great on removing makeup and dirt throughout the day. I would recommend this product for anyone that has combination or oily skin, It does not dry out my skin.

Super impressed

I’m actually super impressed with this cleanser. One of my biggest issues with cleansing balms is that they leave a film on my skin after being washed off, but this one does not! This did not leave my skin feeling like it was stripped of its moisture either! I did knock it a point for being heavily fragranced.

I really liked this cleansing balm! It melts makeup and sunscreen effortlessly without leaving a greasy residue. My skin feels soft and clean after each use, not stripped or dry. Overall, an affordable and effective balm that feels luxurious.

it gets the job done

so for reference I have normal to dry skin that is not acne prone . this balm is quite solid in the jar but melts almost immediately when it comes in contact with your skin. you only need a pea sized amount so this jar will last a while. I had a full face of makeup on with setting spray and this balm did a great job breaking everything down. like with most cleansing balms, i did have to double cleanse for my skin to actually feel clean since this leaves behind an oily residue. however, I noticed that after rinsing my face my skin felt hydrated. usually when I double cleanse my skin feels a little bit tight and dry afterwards, but i noticed the difference compared to other cleansing balms. overall this gets the job done and it'd a good value for the money. I much prefer this over the pricer take the day off balm by another brand. I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review

Removes makeup easily, leaves a film on my skin

I received this product as an educational beauty promotion for use and to review honestly. I do love that it doesn't have a strong smell and doesn't feel extremely wax like in my hands. It's easy to work with and doesn't give me a hard time removing from the jar to work into my skin. It melts into my skin extremely well and definitely removes all of my makeup including my hard to budge waterproof eyeliner, mascara, and brow pencil. The jar says to work in some water after applying to face to emulsify. I didn't really get much emulsifying action and it just seemed after I added water it was just dripping off my face faster. It does rinse easily. I am not a fan of the filmy feeling it left on my skin and felt I needed to wash my face with soap after using to remove the rest of the makeup remover. Probably not a purchase I will make but for the price point, and if you don't mind having to wash your face after this isn't a bad makeup remover to have in your arsenal.

Mediocre balm at best.

I got this product in exchange for my honest review Honestly it’s mediocre at best. I’ve used way better cleansing balms that didn’t leave a film. I had to use another cleanser to get this one off and it just didn’t really blow my wig back in terms of a cleanser. It’s just your basic makeup removing balms it feels really terrible after you use it if I’m honest. Most balms don’t leave such a thick feeling of a coating on your face after you use it. As far as the product goes it actually does remove your makeup well but there’s no way I would really wanna be like oh yeah BUY THIS.

I am a thirty four year old beauty enthusiast who always, always, always removes her makeup before ever going to bed! This Sephora Clean Skin Cleansing Balm is a perfect all in one makeup remover. I usually remove my face makeup and eye makeup with separate makeup removers, but this Skin Cleansing Balm is gentle enough for me to for me to use on my eye makeup as well. It does not irritate my eyes at all. I massage some of the balm into my skin and around my eye area, then I can simply rinse it all off! Just like that, all my makeup is removed in these simple steps. The balm also has a nice light scent I really enjoyed. I also like the packaging and think it is something that can travel well that I would take on the go if I needed to remove my makeup.

Works great

I received this as a part of an educational promotion. This cleansing balm is great. Affordable and very effective. I always use a balm whenever I want to remove makeup and this balm is a great option. After a days worth of makeup, this balm easily melts makeup. My skin was left feeling clean. Unlike other cleansers, this balm left my skin feeling moisturized and not tight. Such added ingredients like squalane help and support a healthy skin barrier. The scent is light and clean smelling. The texture is thick. This is a great option for anyone looking for an effective cleansing balm at a great price. I’ve been very impressed by Sephora’s skincare line.

The price is good. It smells slightly clean and floral and mostly sweet. The balm texture is not very waxy and more so oily due to the squalane inclusion I think. I used it as a first part of my normal double cleanse routine and it left my skin super dry and tight. I don’t think this will be replacing my current cleansing balm any time soon.
