lets start off with how beautiful this bottle is, first impressions are everything and i got to say it has given a great one. now the scent is beyond classy and a huge atomizer. this is the sillage in the game of colognes for men.

Smells good for date night

The woody notes make for an amazing scent, and only one spray on my wrist and one on my neck lasted all day. It is a very intense strong scent, but lasts well. This is good to wear to the office or on a date night with my lady. I would repurchase this once it runs out. Great buy!

Very strong for an EDT

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Purple EDT is intense in a good way; one application is enough for all day. It has sweet and woody notes, smells very masculine. Great for night events. If you wear it on skin, scent might change a bit probably due to different pH levels. For example, my uncle tried it and the scent had a more powdery smell. For me, I prefer wearing it on my shirt. The bottle design looks really cool, great addition to any perfume collection.

Valentino Melancholia is a solid flanker!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Valentino continues the Born in Roma line with purple melancholia, and quite frankly, I think this one is gonna be a very memorable flanker for years to come! Right out of the box you know it’s Valentino with their signature spiked glass bottle, and leathery feeling branding. Very nice purple color, bonus points since purple is my favorite color. I don’t usually like both coconut OR lavender notes, but I guess two wrongs made a right, because they really work together to make a clean, bold scent! I really enjoy this fragrance in both cold and warm temperatures; does lean a bit more fitting in colder weather. It’s a very barbershop-esque lavender, with the amber wood giving depth in this scent profile. Coconut stays almost the whole time, and it most present straight from the top. The scent in general with about 4-5 sprays lasted about 6-8 hours on my skin, longer on clothes. It’s very all around too, from a nice fresh boost in the gym to a collected sharp accent in the office. Well worth a try!

First spray is sweet kind of fruity, then it dries down into this smooth vanilla coconut vibe that’s clean but still sexy. It’s one of those scents you can throw on anytime and feel well put together. Day,night, chill day or just stepping out - it works. I’ve gotten many compliments and it lasts on me without being overpowering If you like smelling fresh with a bit of edge and confidence this fragrance is it. Valentino did their thing with this one. Definitely staying in my rotation.

It is perfect for the warmer weather. The packaging is stunning as well. It settles beautifully on the skin and does not stain clothes! The price is obviously going to be at the higher point in range, but you’re paying for quality stuff here!

Synthetic Coconut Bomb

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I received this product for free from Influenster and Valentino in exchange for my unbiased review. Am I just extremely sensitive to coconut, or did I receive a bad bottle? Who knows but holy moly is the coconut strong in this. You’d think that in a purple bottle the lavender would stand out more but after one spray, I was enveloped in a sickening cloud of synthetic coconut. I do not get any other notes from this — the coconut overpowers all. The bottle is beautiful, pump delivers a good spray, but none of this matters to me as the smell was SOOO cloyingly coconut-y. The sweetness improves a little over time, it starts smelling like you had spilled gas station piña colada on yourself after a couple hours (if that was a thing). Other reviews don’t seem to mind it as much as me, so maybe i’m just sensitive to synthetic coconut smells, but that is the only thing I get from this. I had previously tried Valentino Green Stravaganza and really enjoyed that as a spring scent; The only common ground I can see is the bottle design. I definitely think you need to have reasonable expectations going in, and DEFINITELY recommend testing first. It’s 100% a summer scent, and I will try again then just to confirm that I still dislike it.
