Luna Rossa Carbon - Eau de Parfum

Great cologne

This is a great smelling cologne. It lasts all day and is not very potent. It has a nice subtle spice scent and for some reason I get a vanilla undertone verse lavander. I'm fine with it, it smells great.

Fresh

This smells clean and fresh, like soap with a little of sweetness. It start with lavender then turns a bit smooth and slightly sweet with a soft woody smell. It’s okay but nothing exciting.

Light aroma

This Eau De Parfum comes in a nice 100ml bottle. The fragrance is light and not overpowering like some colognes can be. It has a mild sweet outdoorsy smell. It’s definitely one I want my man wearing.

A Smoother, More Refined Take on Carbon

I’m a big fan of Prada’s Luna Rosa line and have had some variation of it in my rotation for almost a decade now. Luna Rossa Carbon EDP is their latest addition, taking on the name from the very popular Carbon EDT that released in 2017. Despite being a flanker, this feels like a noticeable shift in the scent profile rather than just a stronger version of the original. While it still leans into that familiar lavender-forward opening, it feels smoother and more refined here. The big standout for me is the licorice note, which makes itself known without coming off as harsh or cloying. It adds a layer of depth and a subtle warmth that gives the EDP a bit more character without making it feel heavy. It’s clean, classy, and elegant. It feels slightly more unisex than the EDT, but it still leans very masculine and somewhat mature. It reminds me more of Luna Rossa Extreme, which was my personal favorite in the line before they discontinued it, with a bit of Luna Rossa Black thrown in the mix. There’s a slightly darker, richer undertone but it still retains the easy wearability and versatility the line is known for. I would have no qualms about wearing this for a day at the office or a night out. Performance here is excellent. On clothing, I find it easily lasting through most of the day without needing to reapply. Longevity on skin is of course shorter, but it does have a magnificent skin scent once it dries down into its cypress base. I like applying a bit on the neck as well as a spritz on my shirt for the best of both worlds. Projection is moderate and noticeable for the first couple of hours and the sillage is well controlled, leaving behind a clean, subtle scent trail that feels polished rather than attention seeking. Overall, this is a smooth, creamy, and slightly sweet fragrance that’s versatile enough for just about any occasion. Once this settles into the market, I imagine it will be one of the most popular fragrances in the Luna Rossa lineup.

Sophisticated, powerful and fresh!

The presentation of the bottle is stunning! The coal-dark base transitioning to a textured, transparent black looks great. The iconic red Prada logo adds a perfect modern touch. As for the scent, it's a sophisticated blend of citrus and lavender, with a rich amber and patchouli base. The result is a mineral-forward fragrance that smells and feels both powerful and fresh. It's versatile enough to use for any occasion. Just two or three sprays are all I need to make a good impression! It's perfect for men of all age groups. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a modern, mineral-driven scent!

Amazing

The craftsmanship of the bottle and the packaging is what caught my eye. Highly versatile scent that projects its self mildly yet assertive leaving you with a confident feeling.

Perfection in a bottle

First impressions of this eau de parfum was elegant design of bottle very sophisticated design, clean not over powering just a pure clean design. Something about the black bottle that just catches my attention. The scents of cypress, lavender and licorice are very well present. I almost want to say it gave me a scent of lite sweet vanilla, along with a woody scent. although it’s a scent I can see wearing all day not so sweet just pure freshness and not over powering. I would say scent was still present for me after 6 hours and as far as being about 3-4 feet from my wife she could definitely notice that great scent.

Love this

I haven’t worn any type of scent in a long time. This caught my attention and I started wearing it. Holy moly!!! The amount of compliments I get is making my confidence super high!! I feel like I can take on the world!! The scent is not overpowering either

Love the scent

Love love love this smell, on initial spray I get a hint of sweet licorice and a light amount of lavender, which I truly appreciate the combination, it goes on really sweet and settles into a fine luxury scent. Lasts about 4-6 hours for me and the easy slip off cap makes it a quick access to the large atomizer and has a misty spray. I wear it out on the town for fancy dinners and also on occasion for just a casual gathering, this scent really attracts the compliments from a lot of people. It’s become one of my favorites, step aside savage.

Luxury in a bottle

Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is a fresh modern scent that’s easy to wear daily and I always get compliments. It projects about 6ft away for a couple hours then becomes a nice skin scent for 5 more hours on my skin. The only downside of this cologne for me is it doesn’t come with a traditional cap, just a removable plastic guard which feels a bit cheap compared the the bottle and the fragrance that’s in side. Overall still a solid pick for SOTD
