Naked Honey - Paleta de sombras de ojos

A staple, perfect for all year!

This is my favorite palette from Urban Decay, and as many others have said it is perfect for medium, brown skin tones because these colors really pop. I wish they made a mini version of this as there are some colors I use more than others, but all of these colors are wonderful. Definitely add this to your collection, because it will be the only palette you'd ever need!

Another winner in the Naked collection for POC

Beautiful warm browns that are true browns, not "dark yellows/ reds" with multiple golden shimmery shades makes this the perfect palette for neutral olive undertone skin. The variety in browns and golds really makes this palette fun for the person who like to experiment with both simple daytime looks and dramatic evening ones. I love that this didn't end up being an overlapping color story with my Naked 3 palette which I hold so dearly, as I was worried if the browns in the Honey palette ended up to reddish it would end up too similar to the darker shades on N3. This is a wonderful warm selection of colors that can very easily look super natural on olive brown skin with or without the golds added in. The provided double ended brush is different from the Naked 3 one I bought several years ago, this is more fluffy and rounded, so now I have a variety of brush densities and shapes to play with too as an added bonus, and really makes the Naked series keep being such value for money. This is the high quality I expect of Urban Decay products with no issues of color fading over the day and highly buildable and easy to layer color formulas. I will keep looking towards the Naked palette series launches to inspire my learning about makeup journey.

Love urban decay’s palettes (as usual). Did a gold look I found online. Minor fallout, but not terrible. Nicely pigmented.

ingredients

I complained about the ingredients in this product and Sephora censored my review. I’m not surprised, but me saying that PTFE / Teflon shouldn’t be in eye makeup products isn’t hate speech. Especially to a store with a dedicated “clean beauty” category: how can you have “clean beauty” without simultaneously admitting that some beauty products are “unclean”? Whatever. I tried this palette, wanted to like it, but it’s just not worth the risk.

I absolutely adore this! Super cute, the pigment I’m not a HUGE fan of but the colors in this pallet ALL will Be used over and over again! The brush that comes with it creates a perfect Smokey eye!

Contains PTFE ⚠️

PTFE. Yes, Teflon. The same controversial ingredient in nonstick cookware. In and of itself, it’s not dangerous. Cooking with a nonstick pan won’t kill you. But the cumulative damage of putting this on our EYE area - the thinnest skin (besides the lips) in our whole body - is something to consider. It’s bio-accumulative and persists in the environment long after we remove our makeup- hence the term “forever chemicals”. I bought this palette and the Naked 3 palette, and was horrified when I realized that it was made with Teflon. That’s not something I would voluntarily have put on my face, had I known. I’m not trying to fear-monger, but it’s just something I think people should understand before buying anything that contains PTFE (and possibly its by-products, PFOA and PFOS). They’re often used in products labeled “waterproof” or “long lasting”. The known and documented risks of PTFE exposure are PFOA and PFOS, formed during the manufacturing process. PFOA and PFOS are linked to cancer, high cholesterol, ulcerative colitis, and a variety of pregnancy complications (pre-eclampsia, miscarriage, high blood pressure). Women of childbearing age are the most affected. The worst part is that this has been known for decades. Nothing has been done, so until something does happen to limit the use of these in cosmetics… get familiar with your ingredient lists. Cosmetics are not regulated the same as food and drug products are. Plenty of great eyeshadow formulas don’t use PTFE. I tried both this palette and the Naked 3 one, and they’re nothing special. As an industry, we need to demand better. We need to demand better, safer products.
