i had a deluxe sample set of the shampoo and conditioner that i got as a gwp over a year ago. it was very basic. nothing special. i got another set as a gwp a couple months ago and the formula was completely different than the first. the shampoo was a lot thicker. it took 2 weeks to use it up and omg, my hair felt so weighed down and sticky? instead of being able to easily run my fingers through my hair, i got a lot of resistance. there werent any knots in my hair but it felt like it was clumping together. i lost so much hair in the last 2 weeks. ive been using briogeo for the last 3 days and its already feeling a lot better.

DO NOT PURCHASE! Causes bald spots!! I decided to google this thinking I’d stumble across a reddit post, but I found that a class action lawsuit was attempted by others experiencing the same thing. Save your money and dermatologist co-pays (for steroid injections into your scalp), and purchase anything but these products.

I live by this stuff!

Been using this for almost three years and I’ll never go back to anything else. My hair is super soft AND I barely have to get my hair trimmed and I use a flat iron every day. I do have alllllll of the set though. The preshower treatments, shampoo, conditioner and after shower treatments like the bond smoother. Love love love these products! I was so excited when the purple shampoo came out for my blonde too! A set will last me a couple month for shoulder length hair.

Your hair will fall out

I have been using this for years and the last two times I purchased this my hair started falling out A LOT. I chalked it up to stress until things mellowed out in my career and my hair was still falling out by the clumps with this. I have half of the bottle and conditioner left but I switched and my hair stopped falling out within weeks. Beware of whatever they started doing to this formula. Trashing my bottles and never purchasing again.

My holy grail

I have been using this planked shampoo from past two years and now this is my holy grail for hairs

Disappointed.

I was initially excited and optimistic about this product . Upon the first use of Olaplex 4&5 , I felt that my hair was stripped of all the oils and left it too dry and wispy. I used Olaplex 6 leave in conditioner and felt no difference. It was still dry. Even cheap shampoos never left my hair that way before. It made me scared to try further. Maybe it was made for very oily hair. It’s a shame. On with my search for the right one.

Meh. This about sums this product up. Didn't damage my hair or anything but also nothing special. It's just like a drug store shampoo.

Glad I finally made the change

After years of resisting Olaplex and using other high-street brands, I decided to treat myself and see if the hype was true. I'm so glad I did - this shampoo works so well. You only need a tiny amount as it froths up so much in your hair, so I'm expecting the bottle to last a long time. I have medium length, fine, highlighted hair which tends to get greasy quickly - with this shampoo, my hair looks perfect first day, and only slightly greasy on the second day - an improvement on other brands. After drying, my hair feels really clean and soft, and my scalp feels really calmed - I don't get that overly dry feeling some other shampoos create. The shampoo brings out my highlights well, and adds volume too - my hair has more bounce and movement. Overall I think it is worth the cost and I will continue using this, and occasionally using a clarifying shampoo as well to keep hair and scalp healthy.

My favorite shampoo

I’ve used this shampoo for so long and it never gave me problems. No protein overload but maybe it’s because I color my hair at home regularly. A little goes a long way but I almost always get too much but it’s okay. Never harmed my hair. It doesn’t dry out my hair and doesn’t cause tangles. I believe it helps my hair be stronger. I use nos.1 and 2 when coloring hair and no.3 (not as much s as I want to because it’s a pain to use) as maintenance. I use different brands of conditioner, mask, leave-in, treatment, stylers, oil, etc. I have tons of hair products.
