Sérum Filtres UV SPF 45 - Sérum solar

Terrible. No. Yikes.

I am a massive The Ordinary fan. I own an endless amount of their products. They're all my favorites! This facial SPF is absolutely terrible. The consistency is one of the most sticky, greasy, & tacky products I’ve used yet. It took forever to rub in. I guess there was no white cast after that. But it left my face, shiny, greasy, sticky, & wet. The shine & gloss was extreme. I looked in the mirror after I was done getting dressed & doing my skin care routine, & I’m like, “there is no way I can leave the house looking like this”. My face/skin looks horrible! I had to use physical facial scrub to wash it off in the sink because it was not coming off. I even had buildup of the product around my eyes in clumps. Do not buy this.

Face Rash

I really wished I didn’t make this but don’t buy if you have sensitive skin. Personally I don’t have sensitive skin at all but 4 days into using it I had to go to the ER due to the product giving me rashes. I had a lot of red patches on my face that burn, itch and irritated my skin which was really new to me and for example it felt like eczema which scared me but please don’t buy if you have sensitive skin even tho I loved how it felt on my skin, it was harsh :(

Burning

Recently purchased this serum as was looking for one with SPF suitable to apply under make-up. It went on really nicely but when I came to take my make-up off at night it caused my face to burn and was really painful. I use other Ordinary products to cleanse and moisturise and all are supposed to be compatible with this serum. I tried it for a few days but each time it left me with a burning sensation on my face which was quite painful. Since I stopped using this, the burning has also stopped.

Avoid octocrylene

Octrocrylene is harmful for environment, and also doubtful to be used on skin at all

My skin broke out in spots

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago and was excited based on its great description and ingredients - and my previous experience with The Ordinary products. Unfortunately, this serum is not for me. Just like many other reviews, my skin broke out in spots, tiny reddish bumps where I applied the product. It’s been a couple of days and it’s looking better, but on my shoulders and neck where I reapplied more often it’s still bumpy and itchy. I wouldn’t buy again or recommend this product, considering it seems to be a somewhat common side effect.

So affordable!

This sunscreen was so lightweight and moisturizing, and didn’t make my makeup pill at all. I love wearing this on a daily basis to get my SPF in for the day. Definitely a must try for the price! gifted by theordinary

A new fave

I received this product gifted by theordinary in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoy this spf as it blends so well into my skin and it plays really well under my makeup - no pilling at all. It doesn’t leave my skin overly dry or matte feeling like some other spfs. Big fan!

Great for year round use

complimentary from theordinary This is my new daily sunscreen! I had been using a brand over three times the cost that I didn’t love as much as I love this. Goes on clear and non greasy. I wear on top of my skincare routine and under make up. Such a great product year round.

Great coverage but makes my face look slick.

The Ordinary UV Filters SPF 45 Serum sunscreen is fragrance free and provides effective sun protection, which I truly appreciate. It offers great coverage and doesn’t leave a white cast when blended well into the skin. However, the texture is slightly on the thicker side and leaves a greasy, slick finish. With combination skin that tends to get oilier during the summer months, this kind of finish isn’t ideal for my face. Because of that, I’d prefer using it on my body rather than my face to avoid looking overly shiny. Gifted by The Ordinary

Good Spf

This product was gifted by The Ordinary. I have normal/combo skin and wear spf every single day. This one is a nice thin texture and smooths in easily. It does leave a bit of a white cast until I make sure to get it all blended in. It does leave a rather oily look on my skin which is especially noticeable on my t-zone immediately after application. I usually let it sit for about 15 mins and then go in with a blotting sheet to help the shine a bit. It definitely makes me look quite oily even earlier than I would normally but I do feel like the spf is effective as I've been out in direct sun and not had any redness afterward.

Amazing sunscreen

I was sent the most AMAZING sunscreen by The Ordinary! This sunscreen has SPF 45 and leaves no white cast. Immediately when put on the skin you can see how much it makes your skin glow!!! I am absolutely in love. If you don’t like the smell or feeling of sunscreen this is definitely for you! This sunscreen is complimentary from theordinary and I am so happy I got my hands on it and you will too!!!
