I tested this mask on my fine, breakage-prone hair and saw a noticeable improvement in softness and resilience after the first few uses. The formula feels lightweight but still delivers moisture and slip, which is rare for masks targeted toward finer textures. My mids and ends look smoother and I can brush through without snagging. What I appreciated most is that it rinses clean and doesn’t leave a residue or heavy coating. My hair looks healthier and has a bit more movement. Received as a part of an educational promotion.

for when you need a boost

so, as a preface, my hair and I love Olaplex products, especially the fine line. It gives me volume that other shampoos dont, and if they do, it makes my hair too dry and frizzy. I use the Weightless Nourishing Mask in place of the N5 Fine Bond Maintenance Conditioner twice a week, and I leave it on for at least 5 minutes, sometimes longer. I find that the Weightless Nourishing Mask gives me more hydration, frizz control, and maintains texture better than the N5 Fine Bond Maintenance Conditioner. however, if I use the Weightless Nourishing Mask more than twice a week, it becomes too much and weighs my hair down. you have to find a balance that works best for your hair texture. If you have and love the N5 Fine Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner, then chances are you will like this as well, as a boost of hydration without sacrificing volume and texture.

Not good

This felt like putting a body lotion on my hair. After rinsing it out, my hair felt like I hadn’t used any conditioner at all. I used another conditioner after and my hair still felt rough and tangly. It also smelled like a cleaning product. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone

A Lightweight Game Changer for Fine Hair

Wonder Mask for all hair types!

My hair has been colored, bleached, colored, bleached and repeat for several years. I use hot tools often. Between the hair bleaching, coloring and hot tools my hair has been dry, dull and lifeless . I followed directions using once to twice a week and can now tell a noticeable difference in my hair. It no longer feels like pine straw. It no longer looks like my mop head and it actually has a soft manageable feel to it. Both of my daughters also tried it. My oldest daughter bleaches her hair and it made a huge difference. Shes got tight curls and I have wavy hair. My younger daughter has straight hair and it’s worked wonders for all 3 of us even with different textures and needs. The smell is a bonus. I love the clean softly Floral scent it has. I highly suggest giving this mask a try not matter what texture hair you have.

I feel like many of these good reviews either got it for free or paid because I purchased this based on the numerous raves, and this product is absolute trash. I have fine curly hair for context. In the shower, it did not feel hydrating at all. My wide-tooth comb couldn't even go through correctly, and this product created a waxy film on my hair. And out of the shower, I did my usual routine, and my hair looks and feels like hay and has even more frizz than before.

Definitely a must try!

After using this product regularly for the past two-three weeks I have noticed such an absolute difference in my hair. It feels so much healthier. My hair is soft, shiny, and overall just look better in every way. It feels more nourished and moisturized along with taming my split ends so well. In conjunction with other olaplex products it has been a game changer for my hair. I now have confidence to wear my hair in any style. I even can let it air dry and it looks good afterward! That never happens to me or my hair. If you’re looking for a good product to maintain or start your hair health journey, this is definitely a product you need in your collection. I use it twice a week to keep up with the awesome care it gives my hair overall. Do yourself a favor and try this out!

Hydration and volume

I have fine curly hair and struggle with finding products that strengthens and gives me great volume without weighing down my hair. the Olaplex weightless volumizing hydrating hair mask is by far my favorite so far. It left my hair soft and my curls super defined. This has elevated my wash day routine and will be a staple in my tool kit.

Loving the lightweight formula!

I am so impressed with this mask formula. I have been using it once a week. I have seen a positive improvement in the quality of my hair. I feel that since using this mask weekly that my hair looks and feels more moisturized and feels softer for longer in between washes. I have also noticed an improvement in strength of my hair strands. The mask is thick enough to saturate your hair but doesn’t leave a greasy residue after rinsing like some other similar products available on the market. I am so happy they made a lightweight version of this mask so that more people can use their hair masks.

Way less frizzy

Hey y'all, I'm Kay!! I'm a busy mother to four incredible children living my best life in South Texas. So I’ve been using the Olaplex Weightless Nourishing Mask for almost three weeks now about twice a week... and I gotta be honest at first I didn’t think it was doing much. But then I looked back at some before and after pics and wow, my hair actually looks a lot healthier than I realized. The frizz is way more under control, and my ends don’t look so dry. It has that classic Olaplex smell, if you’ve used their stuff before you know exactly what I mean, kind of clean and salon-like but not too strong. It comes in a tub, super thick texture but really easy to work into the mids and ends. I have fine hair, and a lot of masks make it feel heavy or greasy, but this one doesn’t at all. It feels soft and smooth without losing volume. Overall, my hair just looks healthier and more put together, and it makes me feel better about not having to do a ton of styling every day. I’ll for sure be buying it again, and if you deal with flyaways, frizz, or just want your hair to look a little more polished without a ton of effort, I’d say give it a try.

Not impressed

As someone who has played in bleach far too long my hair has some significant damage. I’m always looking for hair masks to put some life back into my dry, lifeless tresses. I’ve always been a huge fan of Olaplex so I was excited to try this out. After shampooing and conditioning I applied the mask. It is a thick consistency that my hair absorbed quite fast. It has a very light almost citrus scent. I left it on for 15 minutes and rinsed out. My hair suddenly felt dry and straw like and it took me adding other products after my shower to get a wide tooth comb through it. I didn’t notice any difference in my hair after using besides that. Not sure this is for me. I really wanted to love it but unfortunately it didn’t live up to its reputation.
