Horrible product, caused bad skin irritation

Do not buy! I join the other bad reviews. Like them, I had problems with swollen, painful and dry eyelids for more than two months, I spent thousands on medication and only after a long time did I find out that this product was to blame. After a long time, I used this product yesterday and woke up with eyelids so swollen that I can't even open my eyes. I'm throwing it away immediately and will never buy anything from this company again. Thank you very much for the health problems and the many medications and doctor visits that I had to pay for!!!!!

SHOULD NOT BE ON SALE - DANGEROUS PRODUCT

As with numerous other reviews on this and other websites, this product is DANGEROUS and should be recalled. I used it as described on the box and it was the only product I used on my face that day. I have *never* been diagnosed with any skin issue or sensitivity before. I woke up the next day in severe pain with extremely swollen eyelids that I could barely open, that were sore, painful, itchy, red and hugely inflamed and could barely be touched. I immediately went to the doctor who said it was a severe reaction, and asked what I had used on my face prior to this happening. This was the only product and I’ve never ever had any reaction like this. I couldn’t go into work and was in extreme pain and still am as they have yet to go down. I was prescribed steroids and will need follow up appointments with my GP as he was concerned about the effect this would have on my eyes. It is OUTRAGEOUS that this product is still on sale despite innumerable people experiencing the same. This product needs to be recalled immediately. I will be making a formal complaint. DO NOT TAKE THE RISK - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Severe skin reactions

My daughter has had recent skin reactions over the last few months and we’ve been going through a process of elimination. Symptoms have included swollen eyes/eyelids, very dry skin/scaly where the inflammation has been. We thought it was a different product but she used this salicylic acid last night and this morning has woken with puffy eyes and a rash on her face. She will not be using this product again, we can only think that the formula has changed as she never used to have any reactions before and has used it for at least 2 years before buying a new bottle a few months ago.

good for teens skin

Bought it for my son as started having teens skin problems. Product slowed down spred of acne and spots and redness so it deffinetly works that i can tell. All you need to remember that it cant be put aside if problem is fixed. My son did and he had big come back of spots. good product but need consistant use at last every other day

Do not buy - terrible product causes reaction.

Adding to all the other comments - do not buy this product. I have just finished a bottle of salicylic acid from boots and had no issues but just started using this today and have had the worst reaction! My eyes are red and swollen and itchy. It’ll be going straight in the bin. Cannot believe this is still for sale given all the reviews of reactions.

Eyes swelling, redness

I bought this product half a year ago and it really helped me with my acne. Suddenly a month ago I had this terrible reaction (swollen eyes, redness around them, it burned and itched, then it got dry). It took a whole month with a help from doctor to heal it. Unfortunately I didn’t know what caused it and I used it again, so now I have to go through it again. I didn’t use it anywhere near my eyes! I’m form Czech republic and there weren’t any reviews that mentioned these reactions. It’s really painfull..

Terrible skin reaction

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and broke out in hives! My eyes were swollen when I woke up! It took a week to get rid of the skin irritation. I do not recommend.

Bad reaction

I have used The Salicylic Acid Solution for over a year, never had any issues until recently got a new bottle. It appears the formula has changed. I have had a really bad reaction to it. My face is all red, swollen and burning.

Allergic reaction 2.0

I have used this product for a really long time, however, the last bottle I have purchased was a different colour which gave me an understanding that the solution has changed. I have used the basic amount I have always used in the past for a spot treatment and in the middle of the night I have woken up with the worst allergic reaction that also involved my lymph nodes being swollen on my neck. This is the second time it has happened to me and I have finally been able to narrow it down to what happened. I think the product needs to be looked at and it needs to be investigated as it is putting on some people into hospital. There has been no indication that the solution has changed, no “caution, ingredients changed” on the bottle to indicate this is a new batch. The have to be consequences to this.

Ruined my life tbh

I can’t believe these reviews….this exact allergic reaction happened to me TWO YEARS AGO. I also had used the product for several years and then all of a sudden I started developing a terrible allergic reaction that totally ruined my skin for months. I had loads of allergy testing and blood tests to try and figure it out, and the damage lasted months after I stopped using the product as my skin was so severely affected. I noticed it was this when I dabbed a tiny bit on a spot in my arm and developed a red ring around it. Since then, I’ve thought I was allergic to salicylic acid but judging by other reviews it was THIS PRODUCT. I was miserable for about 3 months because of this product and I can’t believe it’s still being sold and causing the same issue 2 years later. Lawsuit vibes….

Horrible!

Bought 2 weeks ago.. horrible reaction.. do not buy!! Have used similar products with no issues.. the ordinary is extraordinary at ruining your skin!
