Why are all the shades named differently?

I have to say it would be so much easier if the shades had the same names across all the face make up products, or at least had a colour matching key. Then you could check what colour foundation or concealer is closest to Almost Powder Makeup shade medium or Superpowder matte beige. Online colour representations aren't accurate, I have no idea what shade of foundation to buy :(

I actually purchased this foundation a couple of years ago in Alabaster. I love how this is not a "heavy" concealer. It does not "cake" and it never causes breakouts. Highly recommended for those with a blemish prone skin.

Used to be perfect, after reformulation will not buy again

I used this foundation for over 7 years, it was my absolute fave and never broke me out even though I used it on a daily basis and long hours. However recently they reformulated it and now I notice it does not last on my skin at all. It used to last amazingly all day and provide good coverage, now after a few hours it starts to look so bad and barely covers anything. I never had this issue with this product until they reformulated it. I feel so frustrated as it was my favorite foundation ever and now I have to look for a new one because this does not work for me anymore. I don't know what they did to it but whatever it was please undo it!!

Surprised by how much I liked it

I have combo skin but not super spotty skin, but I still really enjoyed this foundation. I applied to a medium finish with a brush, but I could get a sheerer finish applying with fingers. Started off fairly matte, but it softened up to more of a satin across the day which I prefer. Wore really well and played nicely with my other make up.

What's happening with fresh alabaster

After year of searching, I finally found the perfect foundation for me, which doesn't cause break outs, looks natural and is light enough for my skin tone and now it appears to be out of stock everywhere. Will this ever we back in stocks in fresh alabaster?? Or do I need to start the search for a new foundation all over again

Only foundation that works for me :(

I'm genuinely devastated that Clinique has taken the decision to withdraw the majority of the colours in the line. I've been using ivory for years, and it's the only foundation that works with my extremely sensitive skin. I'm on immunosuppressants (biologics) and nothing else works on me. I've tried nearly every other Clinique foundation, and a lot of others from different brands. "Even better" makes my skin oily and slips off my face even with setting powder and primer. It doesn't cover anything despite being apparently medium cover. "even better clinical" doesn't seem to bond with my skin in any way and just sits on top of it. It's really odd. "Superbalanced" is a fantastic concealer for me, but any dry skin really stands out. It's great as a concealer in general but too much for full foundation on my skin. "Beyond perfecting" was incredibly sticky and never seemed to dry. Anything that brushed against it, even hours later, got stained. I used it as a concealer until I'd finished the bottle, but it did accumulate in any little wrinkles. I really hope Clinique reconsiders their decision to withdraw so many shades from "beyond perfecting" so I can have nice looking skin again. :(

You'd better not be stopping making this product!!!!

There seems to be a national shortage of the lighter shades of this foundation and I AM DESPERATELY CONCERNED you are about to stop making it! It's the only foundation that doesn't give me spots! I have been using it for over a decade and IT IS THE BEST!!!! PLEASE DON'T STOP MAKING IT AND GIVE US OUR FRESH ALABASTER SHADE BACK! I HAVE NEARLY RUN OUT!!!!!

Made my skin look patchey

Was looking forward to getting this after perviously using Clinique foundations and was so disappointed, after getting a colour match I was confident I had found a foundation that would give me the coverage I need but unfortunately after about 10 minutes it looks so bad, it litrally makes my skin look dirty, I've tried it both with and with our primer and moisturizer but still getting the same results, the coverage at first seemed like it was going to be great but just left my skin looking patchy and worse than if I had no foundation on before, really disappointed as I thought I'd found a new everyday foundation.

It made my skin worse within 2 days of use

Maybe it is good for some people, I tried it after reading all the reviews. I have oily acne prone skin, but I havent had a face like now since I was 16( 7 years ago) My face after using it for 2 days changed and it looks so bad that I do not want to go out, I am not saying to avoid this foundation as it helped other people, but for me it is a NO! Horrible big spots, red skin I wanna cry

i bought this foundation as i have spot prone skin even though im 37 i find it difficult to find a foundation that doesn't cause me breakouts this is perfect i really love it

Heavy, drying and too dark

I tried this foundation because I wanted something that would provide even coverage for mild/moderate acne without aggravating sensitive skin. I had a virtual consultation and was matched to Alabaster, the lightest shade, but it turned out to be quite orangey on me, and definitely too dark to get away with only using it on certain problem areas. Also, even though it says it will work for dry skin, I found it incredibly drying, clinging to drier areas and settling into creases that are otherwise invisible! It provided good coverage, although it was heavier than I wanted it to be, but overall it just looked super cakey so I sent it back. I'm grateful that Clinique does free returns for online orders! This might work for you if you have oily skin and want a fuller coverage, but I wouldn't recommend it for combination skin or anyone looking for a lighter, buildable coverage.
