Formula change

I own a lot of lip products and 3 summer friday lip balms that I purchased last year; with that said, this new guava lip balm seems to be reformulated and is not an effective lip balm. The old formula feels more thick, cushy, and visibly hydrates your lip while lasting for hours. This new balm feels much thinner, doesn’t stay within your lip lines, and doesn’t work to get rid of dead skin or improve chapped lips. The super sweet taste also often gets into your mouth while the old formula didn’t have this issue. There also seems to be a difference in the applicator; it seems less effective at suctioning against your lip but I do like how it seems to stay cleaner. This balm does have a nice fruity, candy-like scent and pretty, natural color that brightens your face but I’m overall disappointed by the formula change.

Great but sort of disappointed

It smells amazing and I love how it feels on my lips. I will say I’m unsure as to why mine is almost empty, two days after receiving it. I have only used it 5 times within those days. And it looks like I had it for weeks / used it constantly. I think I got unlucky with this one

I’m not sure if the formula has changed but it’s very thin and feels like I have oil on my lips, the other ones I have don’t feel like this!

Amazing!!

I am in love with this lip balm! I read the reviews before buying and they were mixed, but I absolutely love it! I think it smells amazing! The color is not super pigmented, but adds a light touch of pink. There is also so much product in the tube. If you are on the edge of buying this I'd say you should try it!

a great add to your collection

this smells amazing! I wish the consistency could last longer like my olehenriksen lip treatments but the color is beautiful.

I love this product. the consistency is amazing. the only thing I would say is to maybe lower your prices a bit! but overall I’m in love with it and the color is beautiful!

Don’t bother

Pink guava smells and feels great but has almost zero pigment, it’s basically just clear and so disappointing as it had potential to be my holy grail. Definitely not worth it unless you just want a clear gloss.

Rising Favorite

This was slightly more oily than other Summer Fridays lipglosses, but was still very hydrating. The scent is so yummy and makes me want to lick my lips every time I wear it! This color and scent is quickly becoming my favorite lip gloss!

Pink guava formula is watery and oily.

Love summer fridays, but I hated pink guava, and I truly was disappointed since I looove guava scents. The scent itself is okay. kind of sweet artificial guava, the color is a sheer reddish pink, but the formula is clearly different. It's thin, watery, and very oily. I'm not a fan at all. If they put this in the lip oil tubes id definitely think it was a lip oil for sure. I returned the next day.

Upon receiving it felt as I'd the lip balm was half empty. My fingers were touching on either side of the packaging trying to get product to come out. Fragrance is strong upon application but dwindled quickly and I don't think the color is as potent as it was made to look. I was expecting color payoff like the cherry shade. Its still a nice lipbalm but I was expecting more, literally. TLDR: tube felt empty- very sheer color

Different formula?

I bought this and figured it would be similar to the previous balms. I opened it and it was very clear and not what I expected. I proceeded to continue to take out product and it wasn’t very clear and oily. I wasn’t a huge fan of the scent either compared to some of their other products.
