Be Curly Advanced™- Cabello Primer

Very disappointing!

Bought this at an Aveda concession in a department store as was told the old be curly style prep was no longer available. It's nowhere near as good, in fact I'm thinking of getting rid of it as it leaves my hair looking dry, frizzy and just awful/lacklustre. The old one was great, especially when it was humid / I was travelling to humid countries - did you test the new product on people with curly hair before you launched it??

Substitute for Be Curly Style Pre

I use Be Curly Advanced Curl Perfecting Primer as a substitute for Be Curly Style Prep which is no longer available. It works okay but it does not set my curls nearly as well.

I'VE USED BE CURLY FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS!

I USE THE FULL BE CURLY ADVANCED SYSTEM WHICH WORKS REALLY WELL FOR MY HAIR TYPE. I FIND IT EXPENSIVE, BUT NATURAL INGREDIENTS ARE IMPORTANT TO ME. MY ONLY REQUEST FOR THIS PRODUCT IS THAT THE SPRAY CONTAINER BE REVIEWED, AS IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE TO USE ON YOURSELF AND CAN PINCH/CUT YOUR FOREFINGER IN THE PROCESS.

Nowhere near as good as the old style prep

The disappointment I felt when realising that the old style prep gel had been removed was only furthered on trying this new product, my curls feel dryer, limper and frizzier since changing to this product despite that none of the rest of my routine has changed. Definitely no good for my wavy hair type so I'm having to look elsewhere for an alternative product.

A step backwards

So sad when you find the perfect product for your hair then Aveda chooses to reformulate. The result, my hair now turns frizzy and lacklustre. Given the other reviews on here, I'm wondering who you really tested it on. Please, please make the old formula available again. I'm already searching for an alternative elsewhere since nothing in this "advanced" product line is a good as the old versions.

Very surprised!

In the beginning I was a little sceptical about the product, because I have fine hair. I was afraid that product would be too heavy for my hair, but it really helped my curls to get more defined and I used the product in combination with the new curl enhancer.That made my hair less frizzy for three days straight.

It's ok but nowhere near as good as style prep

So sad that Style prep is no more! This product has replaced it and it is nowhere near as good sadly. Makes my hair feel greasy and style prep never did. I am on the search for alternatives. Please bring back style prep!

NOWHERE NEARLY AS GOOD AS THE PREVIOUS FORMULATION

Very disappointed with the new formulation after using the previous one for the last few years. Felt heavy and greasy even before adding the curl enhancer. I also preferred the old pump action to the spray that requires holding of breath to prevent inhalation. Please bring back the original version!!! I will be looking for alternatives.

Disappointed

Much like the other review said, bring back the curly style prep! Aveda replaced the curly style prep with this product and although it has 100ml more in the bottle, it is much more watery and takes much more product to get an OK finish so the bottle doesn't last long, and my hair is still frizzy and nothing like it used to be with their other products. Very disappointed that I have to trial and error other products to get my routine back.

Bring back Style Prep!

Sorry. Nothing positive to say. Curly hair became a sticky, lank then frizzy mess.

Perfect product for refreshing curls!

I love using this product to refresh my curls and keep them hydrated. It leaves my hair feeling moisturised and adds a beautiful definition to my curls. I would 100% recommend this product!

FANTASTIC PRODUCT

This product is a great leave in, my hair feels super smooth and less frizzy when I dry it.
