Double Wear Smooth & Blur Primer

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I bought the double wear smooth and blur primer and have used it twice. It goes on nice and makes a perfect base for my double wear foundation. I am 60 plus and still have oily patches but this suits me.

Not For Oilies.

Did not blur or smooth, sat in my pores and looked strange. Did not control my oil.

Worst primer I've ever used

In 30 years of doing makeup this is the worst primer I have ever used. I literally cannot believe how bad this is. it goes on and dries so quickly that it's impossible to work into your face. It is absolutely awful with doublewear Foundation, you just can't work with it at all. The only Foundation it remotely works with is a very greasy tinted moisturizer kind of thing, basically something with lots of slip I simply can't see the point of this at all. And can't believe the price for such an awful product. Hopefully it will be discontinued very soon. Estee Lauder I have no idea what you were thinking.

Really disappointing

Sorry, this not a good Primer it's like glue and you literally can't apply the Double Wear over it, very disappointing!!Ö.

Awful product

For over 20 years EstÈe Lauder has been my go-to make-up brand. I bought this product because they'd discontinued my usual primer. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it seems impossible to apply make-up smoothly over this primer. The make-up separates and clumps together. I'm applying the primer over EstÈe Lauder moisturise (after the moisturiser has had time to sink into my skin), and using EstÈe Lauder make-up on top, the same process I have used for many years. This primer is a waste of money.

Lovely product

I was wary of buying this because of the variable reviews. However,I find this to be an excellent product. It minimises my pores and creates a Matt velvety base for my makeup.

Disappointing primer

I am so disappointed in the quality of this primer. It's like PVA glue. I use double wear foundation and have done for years, and this primer just doesn't work with the foundation despite being advertised as compatible. It clumps and looks dry, sticky to apply as a result of the primer. I swore by the Smoother primer. It was perfect and light and the foundation applied and stayed on beautifully. Devastated that it was discontinued and replaced with this product, as it is nothing alike. Such a shame, as I love EstÈe Lauder products, but I won't be buying this again.

Primer

Please please bring back the old primer. This is nothing like it. I swear by the original product and nothing else matched it. I could of cried when you discontinued it and the replacement product is awful

Brilliant! Works for me!

I was shocked by the poor reviews! I received a sample of this and loved how it hid my pores, particularly on my nose. My face becomes very oily after a couple of hours which makes my makeup slide and become patchy. Not with this. My makeup now lasts all day with very little shine after 12 hours, and my nose pores are still hidden! I love this primer, first one that has worked for me in many years!

I bought this after being told it was an amazing primer! I'd been usingRevitalising Supreme Anti Aging Wake up Balm which was fabulous. It has been discontinued and I turned to this. It makes my make up ( Double Wear) completely flat and my skin itchy. Looks like a mask. So disappointed.

Please do not buy this product. I have been a loyal EstÈe Lauder fan for years however this is cakey, foundation does not sit well on top of it and absolutely not worth the money. I'm hoping i can return it, which is a first for me where skin care/ makeup is concerned.

Not worth trying

Have used the Estee lauder - the smoother primer for years and loved it! Tried this as it was the new and improved version. Honestly it's awful! I tried to use so many different ways to get it to work. Just make my makeup look cakey and horrible and it also did dry my skin out. Bring back the smoother! I will have to look elsewhere for a new primer now.
