very dewy

This foundation is very dewy, which I normally like. It’s a little too dewy for me though even if I blend it out a lot. I still wear it and it’s ok but definitely not my favorite. I won’t be repurchasing after I run out of it but I am curious to try their tinted moisturizer. I also feel like this foundation looks weird with powder on top, it ends up looking cakey most of the time even if I only apply a very light layer of foundation and a very light layer of powder. The coverage is light to medium, which I am a fan of. I would definitely recommend trying out a sample before you purchase since it is pricey.

I really wanted to like this because I love LaMer skincare but this bunches on my skin, embellished my fine lines and smells horrible to boot . The hefty price tag does this product no favors. Major disappointment.

Worth It!

Seriously the best foundation I’ve tried. I’ve used Shiseido, Dior, Estée Lauder, Clinique, Tom Ford and LaNeige. Was in search of my favorite foundation, and this is it! It makes your skin feel silky soft and allows it to breathe. It does have medium coverage if you tap it on then blend. The foundation surprisingly stays all day and has nice coverage, though it feels like you’re not wearing anything.

never thought I would spend over $100 on foundation in my life, this is worth every penny. Spreadable formula that makes a little go a long way. My skin appearance and texture has improved dramatically. the pores on my nose shows the best improvement. Breathable feels like nothing! Highly recommend.

Was an okay foundation. Gave a light coverage. But not worth the price. Many foundations half the price gave me more in the overall performance.

Ok but Too Sheer

I tried the foundation for the first time. (Porcaline 1). I found it very sheer despite the claim it’s medium coverage and it sits on top of skin, moving easily. It would still move as I applied powder so redness and marks would become uncovered and all my work was undone. I had no issue with oiliness despite having combination skin. I will return it because of lack of coverage and stayability.

disappointed in the shade range :(

I am so disappointed in La Mer for not making a wider shade range. I LOVE La Mer products

Extremely patchy on my combination oily skin.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this foundation is so weird. I have tried shade 1&12 and 12 worked very well on my skin, but the shade is too dark. And then I bought shade 1, it’s just horrible! It looks extremely caky and patchy. It showed every single texture on my skin. I don’t know why there is such a difference between 2 shades. I’m really disappointed.

the holy grail of foundations

This is the best foundation I have tried in a long time. I have asked for a lot of color samples from la mer, because the foundation is expensive, and what if it wouldn't be good for my skin. Tried five different shades, and the lightest (Porcelain 1) was the most perfect for me. In the past, I used the Makeup For Ever foundation and would not switch, but this la mer foundation made me want to switch and want to spend a lot of money. Also, I feel like this foundation will make my skin better, since la mer skincare is the best skincare there is. I still would recommend asking for samples of different colors. Otherwise, if you have that extra money to spend on a really good foundation, SPEND IT! I did, and I am really happy now. By the way, I have been using this foundation for already three weeks, and I am noticing that my skin is getting better.

I wanted to hate this for price but I fell in love

I got a sample of this at a department store in hopes I wouldn’t see the hype of this foundation and I’ve gotten about 4 days worth of wear from it. I have gotten compliments every day from strangers that I’ve worn this. My face looks flawless and blurred pores and it blurs most of my acne scarring. I’m typically more of a very thick full coverage foundation girl but I absolutely love this foundation and I want to buy it for the rest of my life. It might not be the best for someone with oily skin but I’ve tried a good amount of high end foundations and this has to be the best so far.

Perfection

I love this foundation. It's very natural looking, and for days when I want more radiance, I add a drop or two of the La Mer Renewal Oil, which I absolutely LOVE. I appreciate the SPF in it, and I get compliments ALL THE TIME. For reference in color, I wear this La Mer foundation in Porcelain, Estee Lauder Double Wear in Ecru. IF this foundation settles into lines like some of the reviews say, it means YOU ARE USING TOO MUCH. Oh yeah, and it actually has treatment in it, which is cool :)

Best foundation ever. It isn't full coverage but is very buildable without being cakey. I use everyday and good amount and this bottle of foundation still lasts me almost 3 month so even though the price is high a bottle will last you twice as long as other foundations you can buy on Sephora. Can't believe it doesn't have all 5 stars. It is the best foundation that Sephora sells and I have tried almost all of them. I always come back to this one plus there is skin care in this.
