Le Male Elixir Absolu - Parfum Intense Hombre

I love it

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir is wild—in the best way. It’s got that sweet, warm vibe like the original, but deeper and darker. There’s this smoky vanilla thing going on with a spicy edge that makes it feel way more intense and grown up. Honestly, it sticks around forever, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments wearing it. Definitely not your everyday cologne—this one makes a statement.

A gold-clad, amber-drenched, imposing power scent

The gold torso bottle is a pure spectacle, like something handed out at a gala for oligarchs, and the scent follows suit with the dense amber, warm tonka, and an unmistakable air of vintage opulence. Personally, it feels like I borrowed my grandfather’s cologne and accidentally activated his stock portfolio (I wish he had). Luxurious, yes, but far too mature and imposing for my age or aesthetic. Its projection could clear a room or command one, depending on your intention. Impressive in craftsmanship, but for me, it reads more inheritance than identity. Hence, with the right demographic, this is worth your money; unfortunately, not just for me.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Wasn’t sure what to expect from this one, but Le Male Elixir Absolu surprised me in the best way. It’s warm, deep, and seductive without trying too hard. The lavender and tonka are rich but not cloying, and there’s this almost smoky sweetness from plum that lingers once the fragrance dries. Great for any weather or evenings out. Definitely feels like a more mature take on the original. Gets compliments too.

Great scent for cold weather or night outs

(I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review) Compared to the original elixir, absolu has a much sweeter and fruity tone. With the added plum note, it opens a bit bright,then dries down to a more powdery creamy tonka. The bottle and packaging is one of the best when it comes to fragrances. The iconic bottle shape from JPG and its amazing atomizer makes it great for both display and everyday use. For its projection and longevity, its quite strong for the first hour when you first spray it. Afterwards, it calms down and projects for a good 5-6 hours before becoming a skin scent. Overall, this is a great fragrance for the colder weather or evenings out. This is definently gonna be in my rotation for the fall/winter.

Good but not for me

It’s just okay. I’m not a huge fan of the le male line as it leans very feminine on me. I do love it on other people though! Great bottle design as well.

Stunning and long lasting

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Starting off strong, this fragrance comes in stunning packaging and a unique bottle! This is my first Le Male product so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s very strong and smells very nice! It lasts all day long and can be used for any time of day. It isn’t my favourite out of all my scents but it’s definitely up there. Overall it’s a 8/10.

The unique bottle design is one of the key things that had this pull which differentiated itself from the other fragrances. Since then, I've tried each and every fragrance in the Le Male series and have a couple of them in my collection as well. Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male Elixir Absolu is a pretty fantastic new release for 2025. This one follows up the popular Le Male Elixir, and honestly, it's lovely. And in my honest opinion, 100% better than the OG Elixir. Here's my quick breakdown: Opening: Juicy, fruity plum mixed with fresh lavender. Bold and captivating. Mid: Plum gets even richer and mouthwateringly sweet. Smooth and addictive. Dry Down: Sweetness mellows into something balanced and versatile. It's fresher and cleaner than the OG, making it wearable anywhere. Comparison to OG Elixir: This one is a distant cousin, but much better. The honey and vanilla are gone, making it fresher, more mature, and more versatile. It's not redundant; it's a superior, more wearable version of the DNA. Final Thoughts: This scent is smooth, sophisticated, and incredibly easy to wear. Expect compliments!

Pretty good

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a pretty good fragrance but it’s not really for me. I liked how they kept the smell a little similar to the older ones for example the lavender fit nicely. One of my favorite things about this cologne was the bottle. It was really cool looking. It has pretty decent projection too.

Very strong and warm

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. The packaging from the JPG feels good, and never disappoints with the colour. After using for almost 3 weeks, I can say it is warm, strong sweet fragrance that is recommend it more for cooler weather like fall/ winter seasons. The lasts long up to 10-12 hours on the skin and good for what you’re paying. If you like sweet fragrances, I definitely suggest to give it a try.
