Love the Ordinary. I love that it’s gel instead of creme because it goes on very cool and soothing. It also doesn’t have much of a scent which I didn’t really mind. It’s a really great moisturizer for the price point. gifted by theordinary

Works ok but doesn't fully soak in.

Pros: Very light. Zero greasyness. Won't make your face oily. Cons: Doesn't fully soak in. Leaves a tacky residue on your face. Kind of feels like a thin plastic film.

Very drying

This gel feels lovely at first, cooling and fresh. However, once it dries down it leaves my face feeling tight and very dry which is a very uncomfortable feeling. Make up doesn’t go well over the top either. I usually love The Ordinary products, but not this

A bottle of 30ml is HALF EMPTY.I am very disappointed.

Burns!

Just got this as a freebie with my order, BURNS! Even after a cool cloth on my face and then applying a layer of Aquaphor. I have tough skin and I do home chemical peels, Retin A nightly. It is not moisturizing at all. and an hour later I’m still stinging and burning.

Feels great but makes me break out

Positives: inexpensive, feels good on skin, absorbs quickly Cons: makes me breakout in big acne blisters where I don’t normally break out :(

Extremely Positive Results!

Like so many people, I am not one to write a review but I wanted to share with you how my skin has completely cleared from acne/excessive oil since starting using The Ordinary. I am 39 and have struggled with acne all my life, I have always had daily spots, tried multiple antibiotics, roaccutane, contraceptive pills and various teen to adult skin care ranges from high st to expensive brands and under the care of skin specialists and never found a routine that has consistently worked. Having done lots of research and read countless reviews on The Ordinary I decided to give them a try. During the first 4 weeks I saw a mild purge and a noticeable improvement, I am now 2 months in and I can say my acne is gone. I thought I would share my routine to anyone like me who has suffered for years and endlessly searching for a cure. Morning Routine 1. The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming cleanser (double cleanse - removes makeup) 2. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% with Zinc 1% (pea size amount) 3. Eucerin Factor 50 Oil Control Sunscreen (use as moisturiser) Evening Routine 1. The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming cleanser 2. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% z with Zinc 1% (pea size amount) 3. The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (pea size amount) 4. The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors with Beta Glucan In the first 4-6 weeks I used The Ordinary Charcoal Face Mask once a week in an evening which helped clear my skin but no longer need to use this now. You can’t use the Azelaic Acid the same evening you use this, all other products listed above can be used the same and back to normal the next night. The BEST gel moisturizer for oily skin!

I am 39 and late to the skincare game but let me explain… I just started noticing signs of aging and congestion. I am very oily, I wear make up almost every day, I live in a very hot and humid climate and I have never found a moisturizer that worked for me in these circumstances, until this. This is the first moisturizer in my 39 years on this planet that I have actually liked the results from. It absorbs nicely into my skin. It makes my skin super soft and I can wear make up over it without getting oily or my make up melting off halfway through the day. It’s gel, which blew my mind because I’ve never come across another gel based moisturizer for oily skin. My skin has become smoother with smaller pores and less redness. I think this can work for all ages!
