Great product but…

If you love Glow Recipe, look no further! This product does what it claims. It removes makeup/sunscreen and leaves the skin smooth for the second cleanse. My issues: the emulsification is chunky, it will break down but chunks might be between your fingers. Jeffree Star has a better formula, but Glow Recipe is the bang for your buck!

Burns and does not clean skin

Does not work well. I couldn’t tell if it was dissolving my makeup and sunscreen. It emulsifies, but it left an obvious film on my skin and I could feel the product burn my delicate eye area after a few seconds. This product does not need enzymes or any sort of exfoliant that is in it. It’s only sold purpose should be to clean your face and break up any products on your face without leaving you dry —and this balm does not even do this. After my shower my whole face burned from this product. It’s not good for sensitive or dry skin.

Best Cleansing Balm

This cleansing balm is magic in a jar! Cleanses the skin beautifully and leaves it refreshed and smooth!

Packaging is dangerous

The product itself is OK. As a Step 1 to your cleansing routine, its very soft and moisturizing. But I absolutely cannot recommend this product due to its packaging- the container is made of glass and as a product that typically lives in the bathroom and is part of the shower routine, a glass container is dangerous. I was using this product at the sink and dropped the jar which shattered the rim. While I was able to pick away the large pieces of broken glass, I couldn't get all of the tiny shards that fell into the actual product- the next time I tried to use the product, tiny shards of glass cut into my fingers. Ultimately, its not Glow Recipes fault that I dropped the jar, but it is their responsibility to make sure they create a product that is safe for its intended environment. Skip this, get the Clinique balm instead

Not the best cleansing balm

I had really high hopes for this product based on the reviews. I have been using it for the past week or so and so far I am very disappointed. The product does not remove make up and sunscreen as described. Every time I used I am left with a white residue that takes forever to be rinsed

Love this cleanser

I've never experienced a dry-to-wet cleanser like this before so it's a great product for a skincare newbie. I'm shocked by how it is both gentle and effective, and doesn't leave my skin feeling astringent

My fav cleansing balm

This is one of my favorite cleansing balms, I'm on my 5th one! I used to use a normal makeup wipe before but using a balm has made my skin so much better as it really removes the makeup inside your pores. Some other brands I've tried have irritated my eyes but this one doesn't. Definitely give it a try if you've never used a cleansing balm before.

Great Cleansing Balm!

I overall really like this cleansing balm! I’ve used it twice now. This second time it felt a little drying for some reason, so that’s my only issue with it. Otherwise, it does a great job removing all of my makeup, including my eye makeup.

Great for my rosacea skin

I use this balm as part of double cleanse. I have rosacea and this balm doesn’t clog my pores and doesn’t irritate my skin. On my 4th bottle.

Good replacement for original farmacy formula

I’ve been a loyal farmacy green clean user, but was hesitant to repurchase once I saw all the negative reviews about the reformulated version. I think this glow recipe cleansing balm is a great alternative! It smells nice like the farmacy one and effectively removes even my waterproof makeup.
