Pillow Balm Original - Bálsamo Labial Hidratante

This formula is ultra-hydrating without any stickiness.  A great balance of a treatment for a hydrating barrier and a gloss which I have found hard to find in other formulas. I found myself loving the hydration, usually I am not an avid lip gloss user but I made sure this was always in my bag.  It became an essential item. One thing to note, there is a very strong Cooling tingling sensation, Which is a bit overpowering. I am not a fan of the applicator.  I would prefer an applicator that was part of the tube and not a fuzzy wand applicator, the packaging feels dated. Overall, This formula lives up to its claims and I would buy again.  I tested this product as part of Gloss Angeles Confidential.

My new night time lip treatment!

I use mouth tape at night- life changing but does cause dry lips! I put this on first & it is the only thing that still moistures my lips when I wake up & tear off that tape! I also use this during the day when my lips feel impossibly dry j it really does feel like a cushion!

My New Favorite Lip Balm!

Before I go into my review, I want to say that I'm a huge lip balm/treatment nerd and enjoy trying out new products to find which ones help my lips. From my varied experience, there have been times when well-known brands' (Summer Fridays, Laneige) lip treatments have dried out my lips, while other obscure brands (CNP Propolis) have given me the smoothest, hydrated, and healthiest lips. I'm very PICKY and SELECTIVE on which lippies to use- with my current favorite being Ole Henriksen Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatments as they have never EVER dried out my lips and have been keeping them moisturized and glossy on every use. Because of this, I honestly thought that Ole Henriksen would be a high bar to beat within lip treatments/balms but I WAS SO SURPRISED when I tried out the Too Faced Pillow Balm. First, I absolutely love the cooling and tingling effect when I apply this to my lips, as it feels very refreshing. I also noticed that the hydrating effect was ON PAR with Ole Henriksen, which I was very surprised about since I have not yet come across a lip treatment to do so. Ole Henriksen has been the number 1 lip treatment for me so far with its effective hydrating, smoothing, and glossy aspects, but Pillow Balm was able to do the very same and make my lips softer, smoother, and plumper, along with having a cooling and hydrating effect. I also love the semi-shimmer in the original gloss; it gives my lips a soft shine and glossy finish, which is perfect for any daily, casual look. The applicator on this product is also AMAZING, it picks up the perfect amount of product to use on my lips in one swipe. Honestly, after trying out this product, my rankings for lip treatments have changed where now, this and Ole Henriksen are my top two products for lip treatments. I definitely see myself repurchasing this, which is very rare for me to say about any makeup product.

Not sticky!! I’m still in shock!!

So good! It doesn’t leave my lips sticky!!! Which is very hard to find in a lip balm/gloss! I’ve tried a lot and they were never this good!

Absolutely love this product!! I received it through Gloss Angeles Confidential and have been using it for the past few weeks. I have dry lips and a lot of other balms/treatments cause the dry skin to kind of ball up and just sit on my lips, but I never had this issue with the pillow balm. Immediately after applying, my lips feel more hydrated and stay hydrated throughout the day and overnight with no pilling or dry skin on my lips. There is a slight tingling upon application, but not as noticeable as actual plumping glosses. My only dislike of this product was the slimness of the doe foot - it felt a bit flimsy and like I might snap it off if I got carried away with the application, but definitely a minor hangup. Will 100% be purchasing again to restock the original and test out some of the other shades!

Plushy, hydrating, feels expensive!

The short: Exceeded expectations! Does exactly what it says! Hydrated, plushy, lux and comfy! I would repurchase with my own money. Highly recommend for ALL ages. The deets: As a nearly 40 year old lady, tried this product thinking it might be “too young” for me. I don’t normally love scented products, but this one reminds me of a tropical drink in a good way. I actually love the scent. I also don’t love a doe foot applicator bc I feel like it gives way too much product and gets messy, but this one gave a perfect amount of product, was balmy and pillowy and felt lux. I was worried about the pearl, but it didn’t look glittery or weird on the lips, I didn’t even notice it. I loved using this before bed and also just ended up liking it so much it is now in my purse! Fantastic balm w/ no stickiness!

I was gifted this item in exchange for my honest review by Gloss Angeles Confidential and I’m truly shook by how much I like this! I love & need a thick lip balm and try them all. Honestly, all of them work well (Ole, SF, etc) but this one not only works well but feels great without the stickiness and heaviness typical of most balms. It is slightly minty but not in a plumping way. It just feels great and leaves my lips moisturized all day but still able to wear lip color on top. Bc I’m mainly using it as a balm I use the clear but I also have the Berry Jam and it super subtle. This would be a great product for anyone that is looking for a lighter weight balm or someone just wading into makeup who wants something fun and easy to wear.

It hydrated nicely and I felt the hydration lasted longer than the balm. The original color was truly clear on me (fair-medium skin tone) and I did not notice the icy look others alluded too. The berry jam kiss definitely had color pay off on my skin tone and I feel it is a good low-key color for everyday wear when I am wearing make up, I would wear the original with out. The only thing about this product that I didn't enjoy was the applicator (felt it got a bit buildup with product after use and the smell. The fragrance is noticeable so if you do not like the description you will likely not like the product -- but that is personal preference. Overall I will continue to use both and keep the original in my grab and go purse!

Good for overnight recovery

Thanks so much to Gloss Angeles Confidential for the opportunity to try this product in the Original and Juicy Watermelon flavors. I’ve been dealing with dry lips all winter and I do feel like this helped make them feel softer. I enjoy the scents of both of them and I do feel like there’s enough pigment in the Watermelon one to pass for a lip product in a makeup look. I was not expecting the mentholated feeling, and I don’t feel like you expect that with a hydrating recovery balm (as opposed to a plumping treatment). Once I got past that, I really enjoyed the product. I will say I had to get used to how big the doe foot applicator is bc I kept accidentally hitting my teeth or tongue with it, and I do think after a few weeks of use it’s getting a bit goopy. For a product I put on before bed though, that’s not really an issue!

New nighttime favorite

I’ve really enjoyed using Pillow Balm, especially at night. It absolutely delivers on its claim of being ultra-hydrating — my lips feel soft, smooth, and noticeably more moisturized after each use. I also see the “plumped with moisture” effect they mention; my lips look juicy and healthy when I wake up, without any dryness or flaking. One of my favorite things about this balm is the slight minty tingle. The tingle doesn’t last long, but I find it surprisingly helpful — it distracts me from that nagging “my lips are dry” feeling and helps me mentally move on. It's a small touch, but a meaningful one for me. I used to rely on a very sticky, heavy balm at night, mostly because it stayed on through the night. This balm isn’t sticky at all — which I’ve come to appreciate more than I expected, especially as a side sleeper. It’s much more comfortable and still does a great job keeping my lips hydrated until morning. During the day, I liked it fine, but I prefer applying a thicker layer, and that can look a bit too heavy for my taste in daylight. That said, it’s still a joy to reapply — it never leaves my lips feeling waxy or coated. Overall, this balm absolutely lives up to its claims of hydration and comfort. I’d recommend it especially as a nighttime treatment for anyone who wants soft, soothed, and moisturized lips without the mess of something overly sticky. Pillowy Soft Lips

I love a lip gloss, balm, butter, treatment, you name it, and this Too Faced Pillow Balm did not disappoint! This left my lips feeling hydrated, plump, with a soft, subtle shine, making them look glowy and healthy. I love how smooth and pillowy the doe foot applicator is, making it easy to swipe on your lips. I am very pleased with this product, and it has become one of my go-to balms!
