Beautiful but sadly they so crease, not terribly and I'm still glad I bought.

Beautiful color

I bought the soft plum color because it was unique. I have fair skin, and usually try to keep my pallet neutral. The color looks red on the site but it shows up a more muted shimmery brown. I absolutely love it! Adds a subtle shade that is buildable.

I really enjoy their matte solo shadows. They perform amazing so I expected the same with these. Unfortunately these crease so bad on me and get muddy on the eyes because of it. It’s too late for me to return them so I will be gifting them to someone else but for me they did not work. I also don’t have oily eyelids so it was surprising how they wore.

Dried out after 2 months. Bummed.

These have dried out after less than 2 months of use. I loved this product at first and bought several colors. Now it’s like dried out toothpaste. Yes, I kept the lids on tight. I only opened it up once or twice a week.

Dried Out Already

I purchased two of these shadows right after they came out. I have been really careful to make sure the lid is always on tightly yet they have already dried out. I would definitely not recommend.

These should be recalled they are so bad

I wanted to love these. The colors are gorgeous, but they are crap. You can only really apply with a finger that warms the cream. If you try to use a brush it’s crumbly and and you can’t control how much you get on the brush. They don’t spread well. And they are sunken so far in their pots if you have any nails at all, you’ll never be able to use a finger. Do better, Merit.

I went to the Stratford store to see the colours and purchase, although I was able to test the colours, they didn’t have what I wanted in store so I ordered from the website. I bought the shade Iris, it’s a nice shear purple/grey colour, buildable and lasts well on the lids. I would buy another shade.

This eyeshadow is so creamy. The color is so pretty for everyday use.

I liked it

After watching the reviews I was apprehensive. I have oily lids but the regular merit shadow is holy grail. This actually held up fine. It is not knock your socks off shimmer. It is perfect if you want a bit of highlight on your eye but think high shimmer is too much for daytime or you have more mature lids.

Must-have make-up staple!

I was initially attracted to the promise of a clean cosmetic by Merit. I decided to go all in and try a few of their products including this gorgeous brick reddish shade in Matchbook. I'm usually skeptical about cream eyeshadows because I have an oily eyelid and it tends to look messy. But this cream shadow proved me wrong. I absolutely love the subtle sheen, the finish, and the color. It is very easy to apply with your finger or a brush and it isn't at all messy or prone to creasing. I was also impressed by how long it lasted; nothing moved or faded! I would highly recommend this shadow for everyday or a night out look. It's basically the perfect do-it-all cream eyeshadow.

Dried out no pigment after first use.

So sad. I was in love with this color the first time I applied it. However, the following day I went to apply it and it was all ready dried out. I tried everything and it is rubbery and no pigment whatsoever. Sad return. Some people say their is a click to close nothing
