Smelly

I received the reward version of this product and it smells like crayons. It didn’t do much and I was concerned about what is in it due to the smell.

Great but I am really turned off by the packaging

A wonderful serum! Sadly I will not buy this amazing serum and most of it has to do with the wasteful packaging. To advertise sustainably sources resources, but to more than double the amount of landfill packaging, I sadly must say no. You don't need to have a superfluous amount of packaging to sell... It's a turn off :(

Great for mid 30s skin

I received a 7ml bazaar sample and this serum made my 34 year old skin feel 29 again within 2 weeks. Had to purchase the full size. I am weary of overpriced labels but this just works. Instead of separate vitamin c, peptide & hylaronic acid serums, I only use this AB serum and my Kiehls moisturizer after cleansing. My skin is the happiest it’s been in years! Would recommend to anyone in their 30s trying to slow first signs of aging

A miracle serum

I love this product! I been using it for now only a week and half and it’s done wonders. My skin is soft and radiates. I would recommend. Price wise I can definitely see the concern. But it works. awriting my onlyhad

Addicted

Softened my skin immediately and absorbed quickly. I dotted a tiny amount to each quadrant of my face with my fingers so it wasn’t absorbed by my palms. I’d have probably not tried it unless it was available as a bazaar item—will definitely splurge on this when I run out.

Smells horrible. Feels kind of slimy to me but absolutely absorbs well and scent disappears afterwards. Does help skin barrier but that smell is very chemically smelling. Gross.

Excellent Serum

AB is the only skincare I will use on my face. If the price scares you, the ingredients in other skincare brands should scare you more. First, AB uses ECOCERT/COSMOS certified glass. The fact is that even the purest skincare products can fall victim to chemicals leached from plastic containers, meaning that not only the skincare product, but harmful chemicals such as Biphisenol A are applied directly to the skin. I’ll gladly pay more for glass. Second, AB uses safe and clean ingredients. Go ahead and download the Yuka app, pay the $8/year so you can search for products, then search for this serum. It rated 100/100 and is excellent quality. Then search for the serum you’re currently using, see where it stands next to this one. The sad thing is not even all “clean” brands rank 100/100. And a lot of high end brands, such as La Mer, rank 0/100 and contain hazardous ingredients. The bottom line, with consistent use you will reap the benefits of using AB products.

Not worth the price

I got this free to review and I have to say its really not worth the price. I loved the rich cream and was so excited to try this, but have not seen any noticeable difference in my skin. I'm 32 so I really don't have many wrinkles, but I do have some fine lines and there hasn't been any improvement. It looks like they suggest to use this for 12 weeks, but I ran out of the product within a month. It's not horrible, just not worth the high price IMO

Paying for packaging and prestige

Meh. This product was nothing more than fine. It wasn’t particularly hydrating aside from what happens when you put a liquid on your face. People love to remark on how dewy something has made them but it is only because their skin is wet. Unless you have the funds and you are already a brand loyalist… spend your money on something cheaper with less actives at a higher dose.

I am so disappointed. I love the rich cream and had high hopes for the serum. Unfortunately it pills on my skin and soaks in so fast my skin doesn’t really feel all that hydrated. There are better options out there.

Hydrates but no drastic change.

I've been using the Augustinus Bader The Serum for a little over a month now and I like how soft it makes my skin feel and it gives a nice amount of hydration for my combination skin. I haven't seen any drastic change in my skin so I wouldn't pay the price for it, unless something in my skin changes by time I run out. I do love the packaging as it's very sturdy and has some weight to it. The dark blue and gold color really stand out.

lightweight and hydrating

So first of all, this packaging. It’s so big and bulky and fragile. I don’t understand the point of this giant glass container that holds the serum in it. It takes up a lot of space and doesn’t fit in my cabinet. As for the serum itself, it’s very lightweight and hydrating. It sits well under makeup. Feels light on the skin. Doesn’t feel sticky or anything. I have been using this for a month now and haven’t noticed any dramatic results but maybe it is too soon to tell.
