Better Environmental Packaging

I bought this mainly for the packaging, Laneige's good name, and past purchases of their products that I've enjoyed. It looks pretty on my vanity, which is the best I can say about it. I find it very drying for my skin.

Immediate reaction

I bought the "hydration to go" set during the sale because I love the cream toner and water bank moisturizer so much. It was my first time trying the "gentle cleanser". I broke out immediately. I was washing my face with it and I felt red welts popping up. I washed it off and re-washed my face with a different cleanser. My face was looking fine before this cleanser and now it looks red and irritated. My skin is combination/sensitive for reference.

Good

This is a good and gentle cleanser and it removes most of my makeup not my mascara but there are a lot of much cheaper cleansers that do the same or better so if your willing to spend your money go for it but if you would prefer to save find something from somewhere else

Broke me out

I don’t have a sensitive skin but this still broke me out immediately while I was using it.

Gentle cleanser

The Laneige Water Bank Cleanser is a refreshing face wash that does a good job of leaving my skin feeling clean without making it overly dry or tight. It has a nice, light texture that lathers well. I noticed it removes daily buildup and light makeup pretty effectively, though I’d still double cleanse if wearing heavier products. It does leave a subtle scent that I don’t like but isn’t overwhelming.

So moisturizing

The water bank gel cleanser worked so well for me, I genuinely use it everyday now. It doesn’t just wash off all of my makeup but it leaves my skin so moisturized, soft, and brightened. I even have my husband using it and he loved it so much!

Not for dry skin

Idk if it was this cleanser or the water bank combined but my face had never felt so dry and flaky, I stopped using after a few times

love it

This face washed does help with taking off your make up and leaves your face feeling so clean and takes all the nasty dirt from all day, and my face has been feeling super hydrated, and smooth with this. I really recommend it.

My oily skin loves it!

I’ve really been liking this cleanser for my oily, acne-prone skin. It makes my face feel super clean without drying it out and I haven’t had any new breakouts since I started using it. I usually stick to fragrance-free skincare, but the scent is not overpowering. Overall, it’s a gentle and effective cleanser I’d definitely recommend. I got this product gifted from Laneige.

Nothing special

This cleanser is okay, but in my opinion it’s nothing special. It has a creamy gel texture and no noticeable scent. It foams up a bit, but still feels substantial and creamy before rinsing. My skin does feel clean after use, which is important to me given my combo/oily skin type. Many “gentle” cleansers don’t hold up in that respect. The Laneige cleanser doesn’t cause an obvious squeaky clean effect, but I feel like it leaves the tiniest bit of residue behind. I’m very picky about cleansers, because while I want my face to be clean, a lot of products feel overly stripping. I was hopeful for this one at first, but after using for a couple days it started to irritate my skin a little. My skin is somewhat sensitive, so others might not have that issue. In the end I need a gentler formula than this one for everyday use, but it came close to fitting the bill. I also think it’s a bit overpriced for a good but pretty standard cleanser.

Gentle

Laneige makes the most gentle skincare I’ve ever tried. I love this water bank gentle gel cleanser as it’s lightweight and refreshing and does exactly as it’s supposed to. My skin looks and feels fresh after and I have been loving it !
