Smells very bad, kinda like farm or cow manure lol. It’s not that moisturizing either. It just sits on top of your skin.

I am not loving this balm at all. I’ve experienced more dryness and chapping since using this product. I may start using it on my cuticles instead but would hate if it causes more dryness.

Terrible reaction.

I had an absolutely terrible reaction to this product. On Xmas eve of all days. 😔 Almost instantly after application my lips swelled up and blistered. Washed off straight away and applied cream. My lips are so swollen still and oozing. 22849210

Made my lips dry and peel. I did not try it on cuticles or elbows. I usually love everything from the ordinary so this was a let down

I bought this as a splurge, but it might become my main lip balm as long as it's around. My lips and cuticles visibly heal within minutes. I see complaints about the texture, but it's squalene—it's going to be thin and slippery, like squalene is. I do multiple thin layers and seal it with petrolatum. Doesn't make my throat feel weird like other brands, which is a plus.

Healed my HEELS!

So I already left a review about how awful the cap is (hard to open mostly) BUT one night I squeezed out way too much for my lips. (Dispensing is also a problem) What to do???? Well, I rubbed it into my dry rough heels and by morning they were transformed! I’m not even kidding. I couldn’t believe how soft they got from 1 use. So now, it’s 5 stars and we should always think outside the box 😘

It feels nice but unfortunately it caused perioral dermatitis, so to my sensitive skin girlies out there AVOID THIS. Im sure otherwise its helpful for others

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely obsessed with this lip balm! Since my first bottle recently, I immediately ordered more and now have a drawer full! It is so nourishing and instantly hydrates my lips. They feel silky smooth and the best part is there is no taste or scent. I especially love the ones with a keyring attached because I can add it to my work lanyard and put lip balm on wherever I go with ease. Highly recommend everyone give this lip balm a go. A little goes a long way. You won’t be disappointed.

I love almost all of The Ordinary products that I have purchased but this lip balm was awful. It is very drying for me - will not repurchase.

Great formula, would prefer diffrent packaging.

I love the product. I dont like the container that much i find it hard to get product out specially if its halfway, i have to push hard on it to get it out. Assidd from that i do like the formula really is soft and hydrating also stays on quite long without beeing sticky

Disappointing and doesn’t last (for me)

I’m not sure why everyone else seems to be having a great experience with this lip balm, but I’m feeling highkey gaslit by these reviews. Or am I doing something wrong??? I feel like I’ve had the complete OPPOSITE experience most of these people are describing. Ok, first the pros: - super smooth application, definitely really enjoy the lightweight yet nourishing texture. The vanilla summer fridays balm, for example, is way too sticky and thick for me. I love the texture of the ordinary’s lip balm. - packaging: I actually think the packaging is so cute and I prefer it to the normal balm shapes. I will say it’s sometimes a bit hard to squeeze out (the plastic is a bit firm) but the form factor is interesting enough that overall, this is still a pro for me. This is about where the pro’s all end, and it’s just con’s from here. The first and foremost quality I am looking for in a lip balm is MOISTURE. And I don’t know how, but the ordinary has somehow engineered an incredible FACADE of moisture without delivering the benefits. It’s giving “you had me in the first half.” Like I said, the lip balm glides on silky smooth, so you think it’ll be nourishing, right? WRONG! After 30 minutes of wear, somehow my lips end up MORE chapped than before?! I’m not sure how the balm fades so quickly. Should I be reapplying every 5 minutes?! Am I eating it off of my freaking mouth???? How is it disappearing??????? How is it actively drying my lips out even more?!?!???? The crazy thing is, I’ve actually used the lip balm as a skin moisturizer and it works just fine. I was in a pinch and had to moisturize my nose. And it worked great as a skin moisturizer!!! So why is it not working on my lips?!?? I feel crazy. And clearly everyone else (based on these reviews) is having a great time with this lip balm, so take this review with a grain of salt. I just wanted to add my honest opinion to the mix in case anyone else might have the same experience.

Horrible Cap!

The formula is pretty good, really no complaints there, but the cap!?! It’s so hard to get into!! Terrible design. If my fingers have ANY moisture on them, it’s impossible to get it open. I resorted to using my teeth, which I know, is horrifying.
