I really tried giving this product a chance after hearing so many mixed reviews. But this oil does not work if anything it made my hair feel so dry and so much breakage.

Lightweight and Smells Amazing

I absolutely love the Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil. It’s honestly one of the best hair oils I’ve tried. The texture is lightweight, it smells really good, and it gives my hair a beautiful shine without making it greasy. I have naturally straight hair, and this oil does not weigh it down at all. It makes my hair look smooth, soft, and healthy while still keeping movement and volume. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts a long time too. It’s perfect for reducing frizz and adding shine without that heavy, oily feeling. I definitely recommend it, especially if you have fine or straight hair and are worried about it feeling heavy.

Made my hair STINK

Agree with the other review about the smell. I have suuuuper dry hair, I usually wash every few days. I've never had an issue with my hair smelling until this product. My hair stunk, that rancid, awful smell the other reviewer spoke of, so bad it almost made me gag. I couldn't figure out what was going on until I washed my hair and stopped using the Olaplex hair oil. YUCK. Nastiest smell EVER. I don't care if it made my hair look like Cinderella, the stink alone makes this a huge PASS.

Let’s talk about Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil because it’s amazing stuff for your hair!! I have been using this oil on damp hair before I blow dry and style my hair since it does contain heat protection up to 450 degrees. This oil helps reduce frizz and boosts shine which I love those two things about this oil. I like to call this liquid gold in a bottle because it does so many great things for my hair! I have fine hair so I am very picky about using oils on my hair and this one is a keeper. Olaplex makes great products! Product was received as part of an educational promotion.

Great Hair Oil!

I really enjoyed this hair oil. I think it makes a clear difference to the glossiness and shininess of my hair. I use a few drops of it on the ends of my hair almost every morning and I’ve noticed a different pretty quickly. It also smells much nicer than other hair oils I’ve used in the past, so I really recommend it!

I’ve been using Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil for about a week now, and I’m really happy with how it’s performing on my medium-length brunette hair. My hair is naturally medium brunette, color-treated with some highlights, and it often feels dry and frizzy, especially at the ends from heat styling and our dry Wisconsin winters. The oil has a lightweight, golden, silky texture. I rub 2–3 drops between my palms, and it spreads easily without any greasy or heavy feel. I apply it mostly to damp hair alter washing, and sometimes add a tiny bit to dry hair to tame flyaways and add shine. From the very first use, my hair felt softer and smoother right away. It’s much easier to brush through with fewer tangles, and it looks healthier with a nice, natural shine that doesn’t look oily or weighed down. Frizz is noticeably reduced, even on humid days here in Neenah. The heat protection (up to 450°F) gives me confidence when I flat-iron or use my blow-dry brush a few times a week—my ends don’t feel as brittle afterward. I’m already seeing less breakage when I comb, and my color appears a little more vibrant and less faded. A small amount goes a long way, so the bottle should last quite a while. The scent is fresh and clean, subtle and not overpowering. The only tiny downside is that the dropper can sometimes dispense a drop more than intended if I’m not careful, but it’s easy to control. I just keep it away from my roots since my scalp tends to get oily quickly. For anyone with medium brunette, color-treated hair that needs repair, shine, frizz control, and heat protection without feeling heavy, I’d definitely recommend trying this. It’s quickly become a staple in my routine!

Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil is fabulous! I’ve used this product for quite some time, and have since gotten the hang of making it really -work-! I find it performs best for me when I apply it to hair that I have just blow dried/blown out. I love it especially for its ability to prolong my styling efforts by keeping frizz at bay. This likely saves me a few touch ups as well as time I would have spent restyling. It adds a noticeable shine/gloss as well. Most key of all though- this little bottle really can pack a punch. A little really does go a long way, and excessive (though it may not appear to be to a first time user!) use can make you look greasy. All to say, definitely start small! I have long, decently thick hair and I probably use the equivalent of 2-3 drops for each side of my head. I keep it towards the lower third of my hair as well, to avoid adding oil to my roots and scalp.
