I’ve tried a lot of brightening type products but a lot have irritated my skin very quickly. I didn’t find this to be irritating at all and it didn’t dry out my skin further. I also appreciate the gentle exfoliation that the product offers.

gifted by theordinary This product I was not a fan of at all! It’s super thick, has a funny smell & broke me out pretty bad in areas I usually don’t break out. Not everything works for everybody, I have more sensitive skin, maybe that’s why this happened.. because I’ve heard amazing things about this product. It just didn’t work out for me..

Very good brightening cream

Gifted by theordinary This treatment is another star from the Ordinary many great creations. The cream-gel texture provides the perfect consistency for it to lay and absorb perfectly well on my skin without being too heavy or runny. While this cream doesn’t give a dramatic change immediately , it really does help with uneven skin tone and brighten skin with regular uses and moisturization. Just like other brightening and exfoliating products, it can be a bit too strong for sensitive skin so patch testing is highly recommended.

This Azelaic Acid Brightening Suspension was gifted by The Ordinary and I was pleasantly surprised. Being someone with dark skin and melanin, it is hard to find a brightening suspension that works well while also not stripping my skin barrier. I have only used this product for a week so far but it already feels better than most products I've tried.

Gentle

I have pretty sensitive skin so this was gentle enough for my skin. I used it every couple days just so I wouldn’t have a reaction to it. I haven’t seen huge results quite yet but I am excited to keep trying!! Gifted by theordinary

I’ve been using Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% for about a week and I’m very happy with it. The cream-like texture applies smoothly and leaves a slight white finish at first, but once it settles, my skin looks smoother and more even. It brightens without irritation and feels gentle enough for regular use. I especially like using it at night, and it pairs well with hydrating and brightening serums like Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. Great product!

gifted by ordinary I have mixed but mostly positive feelings about it. The biggest win for me is how well it helped calm down my redness. My skin tone looks more even, and the irritation I usually struggle with is noticeably reduced. That said, it wasn’t completely perfect for my skin. In the beginning, I did notice a few small breakouts, especially when I used it too often or layered it with other actives. I think it was a bit heavy for my pores at first, so using it less frequently and in a thin layer made a big difference. Overall, I’d say this product is great if you’re dealing with redness and uneven tone.
