Aqua Allegoria Forte - Oud Yuzu - Eau de Parfum

Needs more oud

I am somewhat disappointed in this fragrance. Upon opening and spraying all I could smell was the Yuzu and that was it. It is very clean, fresh and a light. I was expecting the oud to cut through the citrus a bit however I could hardly smell this. I did notice once it had settled on the skin, traces of cedar came through nicely although quite soft. Longevity is pretty good in terms of the citrus so if you are looking for a fresh and elegant fragrance then this is the one.

Fresh and fruity

Firstly, the fragrance bottle is stunning with such attention to detail; such as the embossed bee on the bottle cap. I love having this out on my dresser. The bottle design evokes luxury and quality. I'm a huge oud fan however, the oud wood scent is slightly lost on me, the dominant notes are mandarin and lemon which I don't mind at all. I prefer this scent once it's settled and would most likely prefer to wear this during summer. It's really fresh, light but also invigorating.

Such an interesting fragrance - a must try!

This fragrance is so interesting. I would say its a unisex fragrance, with a fresh woody scent. I was drawn to try it originally for the yuzu, but that fades quite quickly - which I'm now glad about, as it was a bit too much for my taste. After around an hour you've got this lovely woody oud fragrance, which is still very fresh and not heavy at all - think a spring/summer perfume that's still got that sensual oud to it. A little lasts a long time through the day and I would say it gets a touch sweeter as time goes on. It's definitely a grower, it just gets better throughout the day!

Beautiful scent

Was waiting for a few weeks to try this and see how I liked it. It is stunning lasts so long and get so many compliments when I wear it. The bottle looks so expensive and I would never normally look at Guerlain for Fragrance but I will now!

Endless Freshness

Lovely scent. Really bursting with freshness, which you don’t expect from an oud. Makes you think of fresh laundry and springtime and clean, new beginnings.

Incredible

I love this scent. I’m not an oud fan so wasn’t expecting to fall in love but I have. This scent is so distinctive and special. It lasts so long and is such a beautiful fragrance. I highly recommend this perfume and this brand has many other great products so go to the store and try them out.

A changing scent

I received this product free from Influenster and Guerlain in exchange for my honest review. This perfume is really interesting as it starts out very citrusy from the yuzu. However this isn’t very long-lasting and then you get the woody notes. It is definitely a spring/summer perfume but could easily be for males as well as females. The bottle design is quite nice. It’s not really a perfume that I would choose for myself as I prefer more feminine fragrances, but it is a good option for those after a more unisex scent.

Wow! Super impressed! This perfume smells incredible, lovely fresh citrus smell. Beautiful packaging. Not an extremely strong scent that would give you a headache so really happy.

A rich scent that lasts all day

I’m a huge Guerlain fan, and have worn Samsara for 20 years on and off, as I just love it. The key thing to know about this brand of perfume is its power - it packs a punch! The first time I wore the Aqua Allegoria, I was giving it five spritz’s all over me… soon, I had a headache! The smell is beautiful, and it’s strong enough to last all day with just two mists - so don’t go gung-ho! This scent is a gorgeous, deep flavour and the oud really comes through, I had lots of compliments the first time I wore it around friends. Well worth the money as a little goes a long, long way. Be mindful that if you’re into light, pretty florals though, this isn’t one for you.

Oud isn't very strong.

Oud Yuzu Forte - Eau De Parfum This is contrast between Oud wood and Yuzu, both wood and citrus meet together giving a wonderful long lasting scent. The Oud sillage I found very subtle coming through only slightly towards the end of the spray. This is a fragrance for men and women. Top note is Yuzu Middle note is Agarwood (Oud) Base note is Cedar. Main accords are: Citrus Oud Fresh spicy Green Woody Sweet Bitter I found this not as strong as some other Oud fragrances, it’s not overpowering and I feel I can wear this everyday during the day.

Absolutely gorgeous

The bottle is beautiful and love that it’s 125ml, it’ll last a good amount of time. It smells lovely and stays on the skin ages! So many people have complimented me when I’ve worn it!

Stunning bottle stunning smell

Now this perfume is true elegance. The packaging is luxurious, and when you open the box you will discover the bottle that is truly stunning. A work of art. The gold men cage on the top and on top of the lid the famous Guerlain bee. The scent itself is oud. It is a woody scent with notes of mandarin, lemon, amber, neroli and cedar. It is very long lasting. Just one spray and it lasts all day long I could even smell it the next day on my skin. Absolutely love this perfume.
