I found this cream to be great for dry skin as it leaves an oil-like layer after applying. I recommend applying this at night as it didn’t do well with my water based day time make up. However, the hydration is there and if left my skin looking plump.

Love this moisturizer made my skin like feel like silk.

I received this product for free from La Mer for testing and review purposes. La Mer moisturizing cream is a luxury skincare staple renowned for its deep hydration. I like how its silky texture absorbs fast without greasiness- worth the splurge for radiant results.

I got a sample of this in the Rouge bag and I am so unimpressed. It's extremely thick, almost like an ointment and that makes it very hard to use. It made every little piece of fuzz stick to my face even after rubbing it in. My skin didnt look or feel any better from it either.

Healing

I had a chemical burn on my face from too much glycolic acid, I had sample of this and in an hour it calmed the red down, stopped the itching and burning so it definitely has healing properties.

Very moisturizing and soothing

This is a first impressions review as I've not been using the product for long. As one who has long used Nivea cream, I can see why that's what people would want to compare it to, but I would hardly say it's a dupe. La Mer is a lot softer and feels like it has more petrolatum or soft wax worked into it. The closest thing I've used in feel was a Victorian era cold cream recipe that was mostly petroleum jelly and jojoba oil (standing in for spermaceti.) But the La Mer not as oily looking as products this heavy usually are. Here's the thing: I have super dry skin and live in a super dry climate. I always love skincare products that mostly have bad reviews from people complaining they're "too heavy/oily" or that they contain mineral oil (the only stuff that works.) This stuff is great for someone like me who really needs the extra moisture. It's a rare product that doesn't leave my cheeks burning an hour later from dryness. I hope I'll continue to love it (at this price!)

Not the secret sauce

I'm sorry but this product is a rip-off. Before the company was bought out I'm sure the secret seaweed broth was phenomenal. Our perhaps it's the marketing. Regardless, I've been using this every other night in my skincare routine after washing. It does moisturize, but that's about it. It's so thick you have to really warm up the product in your fingers just to pat it onto your skin. It's a decent moisturizer, nothing special, and ridiculously overpriced.

Too Thick for me

In the winter in Minnesota I have a very dry forehead and cheeks. This could be beneficial as a spot moisturizer for me but my face felt greasy and oily afterwards. I will not be purchasing a full size at this time as I do not need this time of product.

Horrible allergic reaction

I was so excited to receive a sample of this, and got a severe allergic reaction. I’ve had raised red welts across my cheeks for several days. I hope it will go away on its own without doing severe damage to my skin carrier

Not as good as Tatcha

I purchased this product to give my face a break from my Tatcha line. I was all fresh faced and put this product on before bed. I couldn't last fifteen minutes due to the odor. I felt as if I had slathered up in chicken broth before bed. I read wonderful results reviews. I decided to fight through the odor. I came to the conclusion it is all hype. I didn't see results. I am complimented on my skin and lack of wrinkles. I cannot see spending this type of money without seeing results. *More skin moisture. The smell made me gag every time I put it on my skin!
