Not a high performing foundation

I’ve given this foundation a bunch of tries, and it just isn’t working for me. I have skin on the oilier side, but also can be prone to some dry patches, and I find that this doesn’t perform well on my dry patches in particular. While I don’t find that this makes me oily, it sits on top of my skin and never fully blends in, no matter whether I apply with a sponge or brush. If I have any dry patches, it also clings to those areas. You can see in my photo that I’ve put on only a light layer (which doesn’t provide that much coverage, you can see spots peeking through) because if I put on any more, it looks too heavy on the skin or really emphasizes dryness. I gave this a fair shot and tested it out a few times, but I never wanted to reach for it because I always felt like my makeup wouldn’t turn out as good when I used it. The consistency is on the thinner side and it doesn’t feel heavy going on, but I just don’t like how it sits on the skin. The glass packaging is beautiful and it has a nice pump, but I don’t think it justifies the downsides. This might be better suited toward people that don’t have that much texture, but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend this product, especially given it’s hefty price point and the fact that there are plenty of better performing foundations on the market.

this foundation is has described. The description is in the name, this is a very serum like foundation. it’s very lightweight and light coverage. Very nice for every day if you like a lightweight foundation then this is for you. It goes on very lightly on the skin and looks like your skin, but better all day. I really using this foundation on no makeup makeup days, to look refreshed but not cake-y.

Hydrating and natural

I'm really liking this foundation, it feels and looks super natural, and the fact that it has some skincare is a huge plus for me. Pricey but worth it because it makes my skin look amazing

Superb Skincare Adjacent Foundation

I love trying new skincare adjacent foundations because the formulas keep getting more sophisticated. And this Givenchy one is really in a league of its own. It really makes your skin just look like good skin - not like you have make up on. It’s a light to medium coverage foundation that could probably build to heavy coverage. But I think the sweet spot is a light application. It really applied to look like my normal skin, just without any hyperpigmentation showing. It didn’t settle into lines and really just looked so soft and natural. And I love that it’s glowy and not matte. A great foundation!

Perfect mix of glow and coverage!

This product is awesome. It’s the perfect mix of coverage and but doesn’t feel heavy. He’s got a lovely sheen/ glow but not overly shiny. It left my skin feeling healthy and covered my darker spots and left them covered throughout the day. It didn’t have a smell and blends nicely on the skin. Highly recommend!

Feels breathable

It feels incredibly lightweight-like you are not wearing anything at all-but stills manages to even out my skin tone beautifully. It gives a natural, healthy glow without looking heavy or cakey. Since it’s a serum foundation I don’t expected super long wear, but it actually holds up really well throughout the day. My skin still looks fresh after hours of wear, and it feels breathable the entire time.

More of a serum foundation

A very glowy foundation that feels like a serum foundation. I like the look, the finish. The only problem is is that it’s more of a light foundation. Not a medium. It’s also not buildable. It lasts through a shift at work but I wouldn’t say it can last through more than 8 hours (I have normal to dry skin). The shade range also isn’t the best when I was picking and ended up being more pink than it looked online

Dewy flawless foundation

I love how this foundations applies it’s a medium to full coverage buildable. It apply like a filter leaves your skin looking flawless. It’s a dewy finish and it does have a scent but nothing to crazy.

Little too heavy on skin

I have a mixed feeling about Givenchy glow serum. The finish is nice and gives a subtle glow, but the texture is not what I expected from a serum foundation. It feels quite thick and a bit heavy on the skin which surprised me. Instead of that lightweight, serum feel, it requires a lot of blending to get an even, natural look. If you don’t bland it very well, it can sit on the skin and look noticeable. The coverage is decent and it does help even out the skin tone, but because of the heavier texture, it does not feel as comfortable for everyday use (at leas for me) The package is luxurious and beautiful, but overall I was expecting something lighter and more effortless.

Better as a skin tint

I don’t even want to think about how many layers I’d need to put on of this to reach full coverage. I like lighter coverage, but I’m rating this based on the description. It definitely has a serum, liquid-y texture. I find the fragrance pleasant but beware to those of you with sensitive skin.

Sheer and sets quick

I received this foundation from Influenster to review. The shade appears to be slightly tanner for me but it will be great in the summer. I initially applied this with a sponge but that was not ideal since this foundation is thin. The sponge absorbed most of the product. Then I applied with my fingertips and smoothed out with a brush which was much better with more coverage. It’s still a sheer to light coverage foundation. The finish leaves a nice glow on the high points of my face. It has a very faint floral scent which is pleasant. The most incredible thing about this foundation is that once it sets on the skin, after hours of wearing it, the shade adjusted better to my natural skin tone and it stays put all day. It does set pretty quick so blend right away and work in sections or half face first. My skin didn’t react to the formula and it didn’t become greasy or oily at all giving that I have combo skin.

Not for me.

It’s just okay. I wanted to like it—I really did. This was my first givenchy product I’ve tried and I was disappointed. It left my face so greasy looking I had to put a lot of powder on over it. I have normal skin now that I’m older (I used to have oily when I was in my teens/twenties) but this seemed to bring back the oiliness. The foundation (and powder) only lasted a couple of hours and after working (in an office) by mid-morning, I looked greasy already 😣. By the time I left the office at 330, i looked awful. I will be giving this one away. Maybe someone else will have better luck with it. It also seemed to breakout my skin.
