Misleading Color Description and Swatches

The color Iris is described as a soft plum, and the online pictures/swatches display a color that aligns with that description. In real life the actual color is a greigey-taupe, which I'm sure is beautiful for some complexions. On my complexion, however, it accentuates the dark circles and gives a sallow look to my overall skin tone. The pics were taken indoors under soft white LED lights and outdoors in indirect sunlight. There is nothing special or magical about the formula or performance.

Not what I expected

Lovely eyeshadow but I was expecting a bit more impact from a colour Glace. It's barely visible on the eye.

I really love the ease of application and beautiful shimmery color of both the soft iris and glacé shades. Goes on smoothly and lasts all day. They are both beautiful on mature fair skin with hazel eyes..They have not dried out. dried out at all.

Remained useable for only 2 months. Do not buy.

The only good thing I can say about this Merit cream eyeshadow is that it remained usable slightly longer than their non-shimmer version, which only lasted a few weeks. The shimmer version, while it went on beautifully initially, was dried out completely by the six week mark. An absolute waste of money, and given the number of people posting this exact same experience, I don't understand how it's still being sold. Do not buy this brand's eyeshadow under any circumstances.

I bought the soft plum color because it was unique. I have fair skin, and usually try to keep my pallet neutral. The color looks red on the site but it shows up a more muted shimmery brown. I absolutely love it! Adds a subtle shade that is buildable.

I really enjoy their matte solo shadows. They perform amazing so I expected the same with these. Unfortunately these crease so bad on me and get muddy on the eyes because of it. It’s too late for me to return them so I will be gifting them to someone else but for me they did not work. I also don’t have oily eyelids so it was surprising how they wore.

Dried out after 2 months. Bummed.

These have dried out after less than 2 months of use. I loved this product at first and bought several colors. Now it’s like dried out toothpaste. Yes, I kept the lids on tight. I only opened it up once or twice a week.

Dried Out Already

I purchased two of these shadows right after they came out. I have been really careful to make sure the lid is always on tightly yet they have already dried out. I would definitely not recommend.
