Strong fishy smell in 5 weeks

I purchased this online Oct 27 and have been using it daily. Last night, Dec and 17, I opened the bottle and it wasn’t a hint of fish I could smell, it was very strong fish odor and I would not put it on my face. This is upsetting because I recently placed two orders for morning, nighttime, and occasional use. I hope the other products don’t do the same.

Great for Dry, Peeling Skin

I am currently on Accutane for cystic acne and my skin has been extremely dry, even worse with the cold weather. I have tried every moisturizing products and serums that usually do the trick and none of them have been able to keep my skin from peeling badly. I saw a reel on IG that recommended this oil for dry winter skin and decided to give it a try since I love The Ordinary and it has made a huge difference! My skin is no longer peeling like crazy and it feels supple and bouncy again. I apply a little bit morning and night with my moisturizer and it works so well. I am extremely acne prone with oily skin and always stayed away from oils, but this is not clogging my pores nor making me look like an oil slick. I will say that I don't know how it would effect my skin if it wasn't being dried out by Accutane, but if you're like me and was desperately looking for something to rescue your peeling skin then I recommend giving this a try.

Mixing a few drops of this into my night cream helped me recover when I had overdone tret, and honestly it just makes my ordinary moisturizer feel so plush and hydrated. Highly recommend if you have any dry skin or dehydration, it just feels so good

Fresh and light, smells terrible

I received this product a few days ago, and it's a quick absorbing, non-greasy oil which leaves my face feeling light and hydrated. Unfortunately, I can't give it more than 3 stars because the smell is AWFUL. It literally smells like rotten seaweed or bad sushi. I've read other reviews and most people describe the smell as "pleasant" or similar to that of "tea," so I'm not sure if the bottle I received is bad, but it's almost unbearable. I've had a few friends smell it and they all agree, it's unpleasant. On the other hand, the smell dissipates in about 5 minutes.

Working

It doesn't have a strong smell compared to other rosehip oil from other brands i tried before, quick absorption. Good product.
