Great foundation

This is a great foundation that gives just the right amount of coverage. The shade match is perfect. And, the finish is good. It is not too heavy for hot summers in Texas.

First to Worst

I hate the new line entirely; it looks horrible on camera and makes skin look so dry, and it cakes on pores, making them more noticeable (my last artist was furious about the new line). The HD stick was fantastic, medium to full coverage, but now, all they want is a clean line. Goodbye. I need something for on-camera work. I could give a rat's rear if it is clean. It is makeup; it will never be natural.

Umm—if I purchased this, I don’t know where it went cuz I don’t have it.🤷🏻‍♀️ I did have a sample once and it made every wrinkle on my upper lip look worse.

Skin looks like it’s cracking!

Tried a free sample. Very drying to the point of exaggerating & highlighting wrinkles I’ve never noticed before. Patchy, powdery coverage if you don’t blend quickly enough. Could work for extremely oily skin and maybe a primer could help. I use a good skincare routine & most foundations work okay for me. . Skin.Thenrihjt

Big disappointment

I’m reviewing my purchase of this foundation from June 2022 to be fair. It was when they had the big reforestation from the cult classic one they used to have. I ordered the same shade, undertone, etc. as I always had and it was much more yellow than the old formula had been. The consistency was thinner and runnier, it was not the same foundation I had once known and loved. The bigger problem was that I had put my faith in them so much that the first time I had used the new formula was my wedding day. As you would imagine I was freaking out and very scared as to what I was going to do, because I didn’t have time to go out and buy a different foundation. But with a few different mixes of colors I made it work. But you better believe I have never picked it up since. *The reason I’m so late on this review is because I just found out they had deleted my original one.

Amazing foundation

I really love everything about this foundation. My skin looks perfect. It dries pretty fast just fyi. It has a scent that's not overly offensive and the texture is very creamy. Makeup forever doesn't disappoint but if you're a dry girlie I wouldn't recommend it unless you hydrate and use a hydrating primer.

Camera-Ready Skin, No Filters

I rarely say that a foundation works perfectly in real life and on camera, but Make Up For Ever HD is exactly that product. The first thing I noticed is that skin still looks like skin. After wearing it, the face looks polished, confident, and camera-ready. For me, this foundation is a true professional staple — reliable, elegant, and incredibly photogenic.

This has made me a believer in foundation after only using tinted moisturizer for years. It covers everything, looks so smooth, and stays matte. Magic. And matches my skin tone perfectly!
