Too Smoky

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. By the Fireplace was pleasant and warm at first, but as it wore on, the smoky notes became much stronger and felt overpowering on my skin. While it’s marketed as unisex, it leaned more masculine to me personally. I was also given Beach Walk with the intention of layering the two. Unfortunately, even when layered, the smokiness of By the Fireplace dominated. That said, Beach Walk was beautiful. Light, fresh, and very wearable. I could easily see myself reaching for that one much more often.

Cozy warm hug

One of the best winter/fall perfumes — it smells divine and super cozy. Perfect for a night out. For the price, it legit smells like a million bucks. Honestly, I’ve never smelled anything quite like it.

A must have for cold season!

It is so versatile as I can layer it with other scents or wear it alone. As soon as I put it on, I can feel a sense of cozy and festive!

I adore this scent on its own and for Layering

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] By the Fireplace is a masterpiece of a scent. It’s woody, smoky, mildly sweet, and truly evokes the feeling of sitting by a fireplace. It’s one I will continue to repurchase and keep in my collection. It’s lasts several hours although I do find myself reapplying halfway through the day which I do for most perfumes. It’s surprisingly easy to wear given the niche concept of it, I even wore it to work under my shirt I could smell it but it wasn’t filling up a room. I like scents that stick close to me like that. Layering it with Beach Walk is interesting! It sort of freshens it up and makes it more playful. It would be a great combo for summer nights or in winter when you want to bring back the sun a bit while still feeling that cozy feeling. I never would have thought to do that but I really like the result.

By the Fireplace is such a cozy and warm fragrance. The smoky chestnut, clove, and woody notes feel comforting and perfect for colder days. I also layered it with Beach Walk as recommended, and the combination adds a creamy, slightly fresh touch that makes the scent even more unique. Love how long it lasts and how soft it dries down.

I believe this perfume should be mixed with another perfume to get a pleasing sent . It doesn’t smell horrible but it doesn’t smell the greatest

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really enjoy the scent and felt like it wore well throughout the day! However, it was a bit too smoky for my preference and I think I would prefer this scent in my home opposed to wearing it. I did try layering the scent with Maison Margiela Beach Walk and felt that that balanced the scent and made it more wearable for my preferences. The application was easy and the perfect size to pack in a carry on while traveling or keep in your purse for a refresh. Overall enjoy the product but would caution it’s a bit heavy on the “fireplace” part of the name.
