Good serum

I’ve been excited to try salycylic acid for my acne prone skin, so I was excited to try this serum gifted by theordinary. It’s been pretty gentle on my skin and so far my skin has liked it, but I haven’t used it for long enough to see too many changes.

Okay so I’ve been using The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution for a few weeks now and I have thoughts lol. First off — it’s not like the typical salicylic acid serums. It’s kinda oily? which threw me off at first. I wasn’t sure if it was gonna clog my pores or make things worse tbh. But it actually sinks in after a minute. I mainly used it on my chin and around my nose (my problem areas 🙄) and it did help with those little clogged bumps. Not like overnight magic or anything, but I noticed my skin looking smoother after like a week or so. One thing tho — if you use too much your skin WILL get irritated. I learned that the hard way 😅 A little goes a long way fr. I wouldn’t say it completely cleared my acne, but it definitely helped keep things under control, especially with blackheads. Overall I like it, just not obsessed. It’s good for maintenance more than like fixing everything. Gifted by theordinary

Amazing results in minimal time

I was excited to try this serum on my adult hormonal skin. I am prone to acne because my hormones are a mess. It is very strong but some of us need something that strong. You don’t need a ton of product. It goes a long way and it really does work. I love it. Gifted by theordinary

Great for my hormonal breakouts!

This salicylic acid solution has been a great addition to my skincare line-up! I don't have horrible acne, but I do get occasional breakouts on my chin and forehead. I've been using this in the evenings as needed, after cleansing and before moisturizing...it's not harsh on the skin, and I've noticed less texture and redness in my problem areas. gifted by The Ordinary

Gentle salicylic acid serum!

This is the most gentle salicylic acid product I've ever used! I used it on one of my active pimples and it didn't cause any burn or tingling sensation at all! It has an almost oil-like consistency but as you rub it in, it doesn't leave any residue behind. Applying the solution as a spot treatment definitely made my pimple go away faster. I will continue to use this product as long as I still have pimples and will become my staple. I highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers from acne. Major purging

gifted by The Ordinary. This serum has an oily texture. It gave breakouts upon use, however it could be initial purging. It's making me bit uncomfortable to use it further, but I am still planning to use it couple of times a week and see how it goes on for next week or so. I hate seeing more breakouts on top of what already the skin is dealing with.

Great for Pores and Textured Skin

I use this serum after cleansing and before my moisturizers. I let it sit for a few min because it almost has an oily feel to it but it absorbs into my skin after a while. It has definitely helped me with the texture I have on my forehead. If you have an issue with pores and texture, this is the serum for you. Gifted by theordinary.

So gentle

I’ve been testing the The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution and honestly… it’s a really good gentle exfoliant. What I like is that it helps clear out my pores and smooth my skin without feeling too harsh. Since it’s anhydrous (no water), it feels a little more like an oil/serum hybrid, so it glides on nicely and doesn’t dry me out like some other salicylic acid products do. I’ve noticed less texture and my breakouts calm down faster when I use it consistently. It’s definitely beginner-friendly if you’re new to acids, but if you have super oily skin you might prefer something more lightweight. Gifted by theordinary

Moisturizing yet effective

This is probably the most unique salicylic acid product I've tried because instead of a watery, light texture, it has a little bit thicker, moisturizing texture. It has been perfect for winter because the heat in my house has been drying out my skin but I am still having breakouts. I've noticed that since using it, I don't have as much redness around my breakouts and it's helping to keep things calm. I'd definitely recommend it for dryer months and for anyone that has more sensitive skin and needs the boost in moisture! This product was gifted by the ordinary

Great product that's budget friendly

The bottle has a dropper to dispense the product and it functions as it should. The solution is water like in consistency, clear in color, and fragrance-free. This applies extremely easy and in the thinnest of layers. I like how such a small amount of the covers a good size area. I don't feel any stinging or other discomfort from this. There's no sticky or tackiness left on my skin after it dries. This has been effective for controlling the extra oil produced in my oily t-zone area. When I get a pimple this helps to get rid of it faster. This 1 ounce bottle is large enough to last me for several months. I appreciate that this brand is very budget friendly! Gifted by The Ordinary.
