I have 4c low porosity hair that seems to love breaking off with the slightest touch. Using this detox mask has really done a world of good to my hair strength. There's more bounce and shine and it doesn't break off so easy like before. This is my hero

Smooth, flowy, glassy result

My hair is color treated, and really dry. I also have fine hair, so it easily gets weighed down by products. I was previously trying to use other hair hydrating products, but often found that many weighed my hair down. I love how lightweight this hair mask feels, and doesn't weigh the hair down at all. I actually found that it helped decrease buildup (that I didn't even realize it could've been a factor of my dryness). Using this product, I also found that it helped decrease breakage and reduce my frizz. It has overall helped control my frizz and hydrated my hair giving it a glossy texture. Though I don't normally mind fragrances, I did find that the scent was pretty mild. I've previously found that some conditioners can feel like I've “not put enough,” but I found that with this a little really goes a long way. It leaves your hair silky and smooth, but light and flowy! I really love this hair mask and an really glad to have gotten it in exchange for this review because its made a noticable difference.

Wonderful on dry damaged hair!!

Honestly I was a bit skeptical on whether this would work on my dry, damaged, color-treated hair when nothing else had made any noticeable difference. I've been using L'Oreal Metal Detox for about a week now & have really noticed a difference! I had so many split ends and frizziness that I've just about given up on finding a fix. Metal Detox was easy to use...Most products require a longer application time which with my busy life, I rarely had time to commit. Metal Detox only required you to apply it on damp hair & wait one minute! The scent was pleasantly citrusy and it left my hair really soft & smooth even after drying. I guess my water did have a lot of metal in it & this worked it's magic! You could see from my before & after pics the difference Metal Detox had made! I received this for educational purposes in exchange for my honest review.

Not something I'd use again :(

I really wanted to like this mask, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for my hair at all. I have curly hair, and after using the Metal Detox Mask, my curls completely lost their usual softness and definition. My hair felt extremely dry, rough, and frizzy — it was like all the moisture had been stripped away. I understand that it’s supposed to be a detox treatment to remove buildup and metals, but for me, it was way too drying. After using it, my normal curly hair routine didn’t work at all — the products I usually rely on for hydration and curl definition just sat on my hair and didn’t absorb. My curls looked frizzy and lifeless. I ended up washing my hair again the next day with my regular shampoo and conditioner and applying my usual mask just to get it back to normal. Overall, it was way too harsh for my curls and not something I’d use again.

Shiny Soft Hair

This is a very efficient repair hair mask. My hair is damaged from coloring and highlighting it. But it is also weak and breaking a lot, leaving me with fly-aways, frizz, and split ends. Plus not to mention how dull it is. This hair mask definitely made my hair look shinier after just one use. My hair also definitely felt softer and smoother as well. In fact, when I first tried it, I kept rinsing and rinsing my hair thinking that I still had conditioner on it. After several minutes I realized that it truly was my hair that was that soft. * I received this product for free as an incentive for my review.

Loving it so far!

I just took a shower and use this mask. This is a white, thick cream that is actually very easy to distribute. To me, it smells like cologne but in a good way. I have been looking for and needing a hair mask for awhile now. I just blow dried my hair and it’s looks so good! Very moisturizing and shiny! Will definitely continue to use

A great hair mask

I have been loving this Metal Detox Hair Mask. After using I have noticed a huge difference in how soft my hair is and a difference in how bad my frizz is. I tend to have a lot of frizz and dry hair due to dying my hair a lot but this mask has helped a great ton with both. It also makes it so much easier to brush my hair after showering, I always have to use a detangling spray before brushing my hair but I don’t when I use this mask! When brushing my hair my hair has not been breaking as easily and I have noticed that there isn’t much hair in my hairbrush after brushing. There is always so much hair in my hairbrush but have noticed a huge difference since using this mask. This mask is great if you experience a lot of breakage and if you like your hair very soft and so much shiner after using.

You won’t realize you NEEDED this!

After using this mask for a couple weeks, I started to notice a difference within a few uses. I no longer have highlighted hair but still use black hair dye from time to time. I have noticed that this masks really helps with my split ends and it’s way softer that my usual hair masks. I love that it is lightweight and smells amazing and you don’t realize how much metal in water can affect your hair. Little wins like this metal detox mask is the small steps to healthier hair.

Great to have in rotation

For anyone looking for a hair product that blocks heavy metals from penetrating and leaching into your lovely locks, look no further. This jar of a miracle makes everything slip away from causing damage. When you open the mask it has a clean/sharp scent and the product has a very voluptuous scoop-able texture. A little goes a long way and takes seconds before you can feel the effect of locking away any type of liquid from getting past. This coats inside the stands which is where the glicoamine comes into play. Rinsing out the product takes a little patience. You really need to work it out fully, as not taking the time or care to do this step will result in a heavy and greasy texture in the hair. I played around with using this on myself and my daughter’s hair texture. We had the same great results. It was silky soft and I would love to keep this in our rotation for healthy hair.

Absorbs well leaving hair feeling stronger

I have used this two times so far and can feel my hair is more moisturized but not too weighed down. In the photo I applied a generous amount of the product, and it absorbed pretty well before rinsing off. My issue is dry ends and breakage, but this has my hair feeling refreshed especially with the colder weather!

Smells nice

This mask definitely has some things I enjoyed. The scent is lovely, and it made my hair feel really soft while I was in the shower. I also love the concept of a mask that helps protect against the metal particles found in hard water since that’s something most of us deal with without realizing it. I used this mask for about two weeks, and while it sounded promising, I honestly didn’t see much of an improvement in my hair. I have curly hair that tends to be dry, and this just didn’t feel hydrating enough for my texture. My curls didn’t feel as defined or moisturized as they do with my usual masks. I think this could work better for someone with fine or straight hair who’s mainly looking to protect their color or reduce metal buildup. For me, it just wasn’t that impressive, and I’ll probably end up passing it along to someone else.
