Replacing my old brush

I didn’t think a brush could make such a difference, but this one proved me wrong. The angle makes it so easy to get into the corners of my face, and it blends my foundation so smoothly no streaks, no patchiness. I’ve been tapping for more coverage on spots and sweeping for lighter areas, and it always looks flawless. Plus, it’s soft on my skin and cruelty-free, which I love.

Well designed brush that does it all!

Had a fantastic experience with the #40 brush. This was my first time using a Sephora brush and I was impressed by the quality. Sleek handle, well made and just heavy enough. The brush hasn't shed after my consistent 7 days of use and cleaning. Really dense bristles that are super soft and great for even product application. Now the best part is the dome shape and bevel design- it's almost like a beauty sponge in how great it fits in all the crevices of your face. What I love is the fact it picks up product really well and blends it super evenly across all product types- whether liquid, mousse or cream/powder. You can sweep for overall application or tap for precise areas. Works like a dream- highly recommended. A great functional product that is well made and useful to any routine.

A Great Tool for Precision Application

As a beauty enthusiast and longtime industry professional, I’ve worked with a wide range of brushes over the years, and I have to say, the Sephora PRO Foundation Brush #40 really impressed me. The angled shape and precision tip are excellent for targeted application, especially around trickier areas like the nose and under the eyes. The bristles are soft and feel luxurious on the skin, offering a smooth, controlled glide. While it’s not ideal for blending (and to be fair, it’s not designed to be), it really shines when it comes to laying down liquid foundation evenly and precisely. Even though this was an incentivized review, I genuinely liked this brush enough that I’d purchase it myself — and I’m definitely more inclined to try other Sephora brushes after this experience. A solid addition to any makeup kit.

A must have foundation brush!!

after using this pro foundation brush, I love this brush! It spread out my makeup evenly and the applicator is really good. I already own 3 of these pro foundation brushes because they are so good!

Honestly, I don't know if having this foundation brush is worth it. First of all the brush itself is very dense.i feel like the dense brush makes it hard to spread foundations, especially if it's not a super watery lightweight foundation, causing the foundation layer to be thick. I also felt like it exaggerated my textured skin making all the bumps and acne scary more visible shape wife. Now I did like using the brush to first spread the foundation and then going in with wet beauty blender to smoothen the outer surface or layer of the foundation and getting out any excess foundation just sitting on your skin. The only pro I noticed doing this way is initially I do use less foundation as the brush doesnt soak it up unlike beauty blender do. If you are someone who loves full coverage and a little thinkers layer of foundation this brush is for you.

New favorite foundation brush!

I used to use a damp sponge to apply makeup for years until I realized that all it was doing was soaking up all of my foundation and making it look more sheer on my face. Over the past year I have started using foundation brushes and it has been a game changer! I am very picky about my foundation brush and I have been using a luxury priced brush until I had the opportunity to try this one! I am a huge fan of Sephora brand products and this brush did not let me down! It is super soft, and applies foundation so perfectly. I love how it is triangular in shape so it is easy to get into all of the contours of your face. I also love the long thin handle that makes it easy to precisely apply your foundation. This brush is also reasonably priced and performs just as well as far more expensive brushes. This product was received as part of an educational promotion.

Ideal Density

I have tried a range of tools for applying foundation, many kinds of brushes, beauty blenders and even the silicone blenders from 2017. The Sephora Pro Foundation brush was a really effective tool for applying foundation! I am the first to say that I don't have the ~best~ makeup techniques, but this brush made me feel like a seamless look was achievable for me. It had the perfect density for a foundation brush. It was dense enough to work with the liquid, but not too dense like other brushes I've used. The brush picked up the foundation very easily and was great at blending it without absorbing too much foundation. I have a lot of acne on my chin and some scars and this brush worked well with my foundation to seamlessly cover up all redness and texture.

The Sephora Collection #40 Foundation Brush has honestly become one of my favorite tools in my kit. From the first time I used it, I was impressed by how effortlessly it blended both liquid and cream products. I’ve used it with my Fenty stick foundation and my Armani blush, and each time, the application has been smooth, even, and seamless. What I really love is the balance in the brush’s density—it’s firm enough to give control and coverage but not so dense that it just pushes product around. That’s a big deal for me, especially when I’m working on clients or doing my own makeup and want everything to look flawless without a ton of effort. The slanted shape is another standout feature. It fits perfectly into the natural contours of the face, which makes blending around the nose, cheeks, and jawline super easy. It just feels intuitive to use, and that’s something I truly appreciate as both a makeup artist and a beauty lover. If I had one small critique, it would be the price. I do wish it was a little more affordable—especially for those of us in the industry who need to stock multiple brushes for clients. But in terms of quality and performance, it absolutely delivers. Overall, this brush has been a great addition to my collection. It makes my job easier, my makeup look better, and I genuinely reach for it all the time.

A must have for anyone who uses foundation

I love this foundation brush! I’ve used a lot of foundation brushes, make up sponges and beauty blenders, and this brush is by far my favorite. It doesn’t absorb too much of the product and blends it into your skin really nicely. I have acne and hyper pigmentation, so my foundation has to be blended in a way that it really covers the scars smoothly and this brush does exactly that. The handle also makes it really easy to hold and blend, sometimes when handles are short or uncomfortable to hold it actually impacts my application of the foundation. I’ve been trying to upgrade my makeup brush collection for a long time because the brushes you use really matter, and I feel like this brush is really worth the investment.

I love the angle of this foundation brush. Expertly slanted, the Sephora Collection Pro 40 brush delivers precise application making it easy to get everyone’s unique face angles.  It targets specific areas yet also does a great job applying makeup flawlessly all over my face. The angled dome design delivers refined, buildable coverage. Thanks to the densely packed bristles it is easy to build up coverage to your desired finish. The bristles are soft, flexible, and perfectly dense for spot application leaving a flawless face of makeup. I’ve paired this brush with my concealer as well (Sephora best skin ever multi-use concealer) and I love the results, because of its slanted angle it is easy to get my under eye area perfectly. For the price this is such a good foundation brush, the quality is elite.
