this really dried out my hair and made me lose even more hair. I used the shampoo conditioner and tonic. not good. waste of money.

Hard no

I naturally have silky hair and I have used Shu Uemura’s Murato Volume line for a while now. I tried this shampoo, the conditioner along with the mask and my hair was left extremely dry. May work for others but definitely didn’t work for me

I love this product I've been using it for a couple of weeks and my hair has had a big change, it looks softer and shiny

I love this entire line!

I bought this entire line for my 1A, super fine, straight, bleached hair. It makes my hair feel silky, and it gives it body. I'm in love! The shampoo cleans very well. I do not love the scent, but I'm willing to ignore that for great hair.

Not again for me

The results do not justify the scent of this shampoo. It's seriously off-putting.

Amazing with conditioner!!

I’m not sure what magic this is but the shampoo alongside the conditioner has been doing wonders for my fine oily scalp Southeast Asian hair that has become dry and frizzy over the years. I usually have to wash my hair every other day because my scalp is so oily but now if I really wanted to I could go more days. My hair looks like I just showered and blow dried it into silky smoothness. I think this is my HG combo.

clean feel

The izumi tonic strengthening shampoo is a lightweight shampoo but it seemed to later quite well for me. It has a very slight scent to it, not overpowering. It left my hair clean and feeling healthy. I do not see as many split ends after using this shampoo. I would recommend trying. I got this product for free in exchange for writing a review of my honest opinion.

Didnt meet expectations

I waited as long as possibly could to write this review as I really wanted to try it for a few weeks before giving my honest opinion and I'm sad to say that it just didn't meet my expectations. It smelled nice and the packaging was really sleek and pretty. Though, I'm confused by the lack of a pump on the shampoo, but the complimenting conditioner bottle had a pump...? I was expecting to be delighted by thick, soft, bouncy, shiny nourishment but I didn't notice any of the above. I was bummed to find that it contains sulfurs so of course it felt kind of drying and a I didn't feel that a lot went a very long way, and I had to use a significant amount on my medium length hair. The final result was ok. It did feel clean and smelled nice but I don't feel it's worth the price on my color-treated hair. Would recommend to those that don't have color treated hair that would desire some more texture.

I really enjoyed this Izumi Tonic shampoo, it left my hair feeling healthy and freeze free without weighing it down. It also smells amazing, light and fresh not overpowering at all. I did notice a bit of dryness on my scalp but nothing a good hair scrub couldn't fix. There's way less hair fall and my hair looks nourished. All you need is one squeeze, shampoo throughly and rinse.

YES YES YES! I love this new shu uemura shampoo & conditioner! I have very long hair, and I've been searching for a shampoo & conditioner that I could alternate with my regular ones (I use Kerastase's Resistance for Long Hair shampoo & conditioner)- and I've finally found it! My hair is soft, silky, and easy to style. I noticed a difference the first time I used it! And although this line isn't marketed specifically for long hair, it really does the trick. I want to mention that if you don't have thinner or shorter hair, I wouldn't recommend using the Izumi tonic (this line’s strengthening Rice Water Tonic which was released in the fall), as it will probably leave your hair feeling sticky and/or dry, because it was created to add volume to thin hair. I used it once, and the tonic left my hair unmanageable- but honestly, I probably shouldn't have used it in the first place, because my hair is long and medium/thick. However for my hair type, the shampoo & conditioner are magical- I use my regular styling products with them, and my hair looks like I walked out of the salon. I also really love the scent- it's a light, clean, powdery scent- it almost reminds me of a high end baby powder. Nothing too overpowering- it's just perfect. So glad Shu Uemura finally expanded this line! And if you have hair like mine, this might be the perfect shampoo & conditioner for you!

Leave hair feeling clean

I have used this conditioner for a few weeks now and my hair feels very clean and not weighed down. I don’t see a difference in the appearance but when I run my hands thru I can feel it. I do feel I need to keep using it and maybe then I will see a difference.

Made My Hair Super Dry

This, in combo with the tonic and conditioner, made my hair super dry. I tried using it twice and both times my hair was left very brittle and dry. This was right after I got my hair cut too. It took several washes and deep conditioner to get it back to normal. I will say that I have thicker hair, so maybe this just isn’t the right product for my hair type
