Don’t be scared by the hue because it applies clear. This balm makes my lips feel soft and moisturized without feeling sticky or gloopy. It’s unscented with is great. Great buy to treat yourself with although very expensive. A little attainable luxury!

Wow, love this product. Sheer and very moisturizing. The color leaves my lips with a bit of a slightly darker than my natural lip color tint. I would like to see this become a permanent product.

Probable my favorite balm for extreme chapped lips

I know this is expensive, and I wanna say right off the bat the price is A LOT. That said, I feel like this stands out from most lip balms in a way that justifies it if you’re not on a shoestring budget. I love this lip balm and just bought my third one. At first it was the packaging that got me-I’m a spooky dork. But I used it a lot and realized it really does something special. I think you have to try it a couple times on extremely chapped lips to really get why this rocks so much- I can have the crustiest lips ever from like, hiking in the snowy windy mountains for three days and they’re basically gone overnight if I apply this twice throughout a day. You’ll still have like, the peeling skin (it doesn’t magically heal it) but it softens things so much you can just scrub the peelies off with a toothbrush the next day. It doesn’t just sit on top of your lips-it absorbs and restores moisture to them, and it permanently improves your lips over time if you use it consistently. It seems like it is just a vaguely shiny balm at the first try (I mean, it feels very nice, but doesn’t seem AMAZING at first glance), but something about the ingredients makes it REALLY sink in and give you like, long-term moisture. I would compare it to an expensive hair conditioner that helps actually protect hair protein and build deep moisture, as opposed to one that just puts a layer of silicone on your hair. If you have really chapped lips or wear liquid lips a lot, this is a go-to for bringing them back from the brink of death. I put a double layer on every night in winter or after liquid lips, and it makes a big difference. Also, don’t be scared of the color-it doesn’t turn your lips gray-it basically is clear. It just looks really dark in the tube. I linked a photo with a fairly liberal layer just so y’all can see what it looks like. PS-don’t put it on over a liquid lip (obviously), it breaks it down rapidly. It’s great for helping remove them though.

Pretty and VERY SHINY!

Such a great glitter lewk! A bit too much for everyday IMO, but I think it’s great for going out and special occasions. It is SUPER glittery and just a tad grainy because of it. But I think Pat McGrath is a goddess so it’s a fun product to enjoy. Not hydrating, really, so I layer it over a balm. I think it should be marketed as a lipstick, not a balm.

keeps this farmers lips hydrated

This balm is literally the only thing that keeps my lips hydrated. I work on farm (overalls, dirt, and all) and use this at work. Berts Bees lip balm wasnt cutting it. Only wish it were cheaper because I literally use it all day every day.

purchase if you have $40 to throw away

I enjoy wearing this lipstick simply because of its cool concept. A grayish lipstick that comes on sheer. The price point is a bit high for what this lipstick has to offer. I purchased just see what the hype was about. Would I repurchase? No. It does moisturize lightly so you’ll be reapplying it Id say twice within the hour.

My favorite lip product ever. The packaging is the cutest, but the lipstick (really more of a chapstick since it’s clear) is amazing.

You buy this because it's Pat Mother McGrath. The packaging is beautiful, the color in the tube is striking, the formula is ok. It's allll about the statement with this girl, and that's what you're paying for.
