Charcoal is a bug, no a feature

I guess that the Take The Day Off range of product can't do an absolute wrong even when they try; and Clinique really tried with this one. Imagine the luxurious experience of removing makeup with the original cleansing balm being literally tainted by charcoal. My face was black, my sync was black, my washcloth was black. And my face also stinks like charcoal. Was it efficient at removing makeup? Absolutely yes. If I had another complaint it was that it left my skin slightly dry; which for someone with more oily skin than me might be a benefit.

Me quita la crema solar, no sé qué tal con el maquillaje, suave para piel grasa. Molesta que nuble tanto la vista cuando apenas me lo paso por los ojos, dicen que hay que ser gentil pero solo froto para quitar crema solar… No me convence.

My Most Honest Review

I use this as the first step in my double cleansing routine at night. Just this and the Vanicream gentle cleanser and I’ve never had such smooth, clear, and glossy skin. I would recommend double-cleansing with this because leaving it on your face without thoroughly washing it off can leave a waxy feeling (as some negative reviews had mentioned). You can still use water, but it saves time to use a gentle cleanser. Don’t worry, it’s easily avoidable :) The balm feels so luxurious and silky and helps me wind down at the end of the day. It follows through on its promise to “Take the Day Off.” It thoroughly removes my SPF and any makeup with ease. I’ve noticed in some comments about this, so I will mention, use some common sense when cleaning your eyes. Be sure not to get any in your eye as it will make your vision temporarily blurry (easily reversible with water) and treat the area gently. You won’t lose any eyelashes if you’re being gentle. Amazing product, amazing results. I loooove this and will continue to repurchase because it’s effective and lasts foreeeever.

Irritated my eyes

It removes makeup so well but it irritated my eyes so bad. It’s a shame because it’s such a great product. 😔

Gave me multiple styes

I really wanted to love this balm, but unfortunately give me five styes over the course of a couple weeks. My eyelashes started to fall out and bald. Do not recommend at all.

WASH OFF SUNSCREEN

I suddenly started breaking out due to a change in my treatment & I also noticed that there was still quite a bit of my tinted sunscreen on my cotton ball after thoroughly washing my face so between the twomy face was breakingout like I was just beginning puberty again. I began using retina a gel and this balm my face has cleared up tremendously. It also makes my face feel so soft. I follow up using Clinique facial wash AND Dove Beauty Bar. two two iss

Still the Best

I’ve been using another product but I took this on a trip and now I wonder why I ever switched. Works like magic.

Love it

Got it as a gift (mini size) and definitely going to buy a bigger version. Beautifully removes the whole makeup, even the strong mascaras without burning eyes. In my experience, it didn't occur skin dryness or tightening sensation ❤️

Bought a giant tube of this. It does remove everything easily, but you have to follow with micellar water or a second cleanser if you don’t want your face to feel like it’s got a filmy layer on it

Un must have

Había escuchado hablar mucho de éste producto desmaquillante de Clinique. Y primero me decidí con el tamaño travel size, y después con el balm. Me gusta mucho lo rápido que ablanda el maquillaje, todo tipo de residuo o la protección solar. No deja residuo graso, y elimina muy bien todo tipo de impurezas. Lo utilizo todas las noches en la primera fase de mi doble limpieza. Sin duda repetiré

Llevo AÑOS reponiendo una y otra vez este desmaquillante, es totalmente mi zona de confort ya que no irrita los ojos, es eficaz y se necesita poca cantidad. Siempre he repetido con este, pero no descarto probar en algún momento su versión de carbón que he visto que para pieles más grasas es ideal. Recuerdo que la primera vez que lo compré fue en tamaño viaje, desde entonces repito con el tamaño original y se lo recomiendo a todas mis amigas!!!

I’ve been using this as my makeup remover for YEARS and it’s a staple for me. If Clinique ever discontinues or changes it I will be incredibly sad. Gets off the toughest makeup with no irritation and leaves my skin soft and smooth.
